The NBA's Hamilton.
Richard Kelly Hamilton was born on February 14, 1978 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, USA, a small place about 25 miles west of Philadelphia. The steel industry here is not as developed as expected, and contrary to the good dreams of the locals, this place never seems to have prospered. Hamilton's parents, Pam Lang and Big Richard, separated and Hamilton lived with his mother.
Interestingly, though, some of his actions and mannerisms look more like his father's. Big Richard was an integral part of Hamilton's life. Big Richard's nickname is RIP because he makes opponents trying to defend him look childlike.
Growing up, Hamilton inherited that momentum from his father — at least in the NBA, that's what people call him.

He's improving every game, he's a keen learner, he's always thinking about the team and he's lucky to be coaching a player like him. When he starts scoring, opponents put more defensive energy into him. And that's when it gives other players the opportunity to score.
Coach Larry Brown).
He has a great touch and an excellent understanding of the game. "RIP" has a style of play that is more like a 70's player, he is more focused on results and results than the bells and whistles before he shoots, and he is an all-round player (Jim Calhoun review). He can score points in all sorts of ways, but he's never been a selfish player (Al Skinner).
In him, I saw my own shadow. Some of the tricks he used were used by me, and I thought I should charge him a "royalty" (Reggie Miller).
RIP is the kind of player you don't have to supervise at all. He demands a lot more from himself than I ask of him (Joe Dumas review). He never stops running on the field (Jason Kidd review), like a perpetual motion machine that doesn't have to rest for a second (Devin George).
Sometimes I even wonder if he has some kind of illness – because he never knows what "tired" is, which is crazy (Chauncey Billups). I think he was the best middle distance shooter of his age. (Commented by Doug Collins).
Richard Hamilton is a tough opponent and I've always tried my best to defend him. But what is puzzling is that I have become more and more respectful of him. He's a great shooter, he's very soft on the touch.
He knows how to attack, how to defend and most importantly, he knows how to win the game. (Bunch Wells review).
He's a textbook for empty-handed movement, I've never doubted that. Some opponents laughed at him for his thin build, but he never defended anything. Then you'll see him take turns beating up the guys on the field. (Rick Carlisle).
One of the best mid-distance pitchers in the NBA league today; Never relentless in attack, using all kinds of cover to get rid of defenders, and never giving up looking for scoring opportunities for himself. (NBA official review).
He may be the epitome of the entire Pistons team: calm, steady, resilient, non-stop aggressiveness and a thirst for victory. Just like Kobe's jumper, Parker's breakaway, Nash's pass, you know what Hamilton is going to do, but you can never stop him.
When you're confronted with these guys, you can only hope that they stop because they're tired. If, one day, you find that he has really stopped, congratulations - you have witnessed a legend. (Tiger Pounce Review).
