Song Lian's story: Song Lian liked to read when he was a child, but his family was very poor, and he had no money to buy books, so he had to borrow from others. But the deadline for returning the book was approaching, so he had to copy the book overnight.
It was the middle of winter, and the dripping water turned into ice. His mother said; "Child, it's the middle of the night, it's so cold, I'm copying it at dawn, and people aren't waiting for books to read. Besides, the teacher has already closed the mountain with heavy snow, and your old cotton jacket can't withstand the cold of the mountain! Song Lian said; "If you don't set off today, you will miss the day of apprenticeship, that is, you will miss the appointment. Breaking the appointment is disrespecting the teacher.
So no matter how heavy the snow is, I have to go on the road. ”
When Song Lian arrived at the teacher's house, the teacher praised him sincerely; "Young people, keep their word and are eager to learn, they will have a good future! ”
