On December 19, the Ganzi Prefecture Party Committee of Sichuan Province decided to posthumously award Comrade Bi Shixiang as an outstanding Communist Party member in the whole state, and called on party organizations at all levels and the majority of Communist Party members in the state to learn from Comrade Bi Shixiang.

On March 13, Sichuan ** reported that the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China recently issued the "Decision on Posthumously Awarding Comrade Bi Shixiang the Title of "Outstanding Party Member Leading Cadre Practicing the Party's Mass Line", posthumously awarding Comrade Bi Shixiang the title of "Outstanding Party Member Leading Cadre Practicing the Party's Mass Line". On March 12, 2014, the Organization Department of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and the Propaganda Department of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee held a commendation meeting for Comrade Bi Shixiang's advanced deeds in Chengdu. At 9:50 on December 16, 2013, Comrade Bi Shixiang died at the age of 53 in a car accident when he passed through Gaoersi Mountain on his way to Xinlong County to carry out mass work.

Bi Shixiang (male, Tibetan, from Danba County, Sichuan Province, graduated from the Department of Political History of Southwest University for Nationalities, member of the Communist Party of China, member of the Standing Committee of the Ganzi Prefecture Committee of the Communist Party of China, and director of the Propaganda Department. On the morning of December 16, 2013, Bi Shixiang and three others went from Kangding to Xinlong County to carry out mass work. At 9:50 on the same day, when crossing the Gaoersi Mountain at an altitude of 4,412 meters in Kangding County on National Highway 318, an accident occurred due to heavy snow and icing on the road, and Comrade Bi Shixiang died in the line of duty at the age of 53.
