Responsibilities of the various divisions of the National Center for Marine Standards and Metrology

1) Formulate regulations, plans and systems for national marine standardization, measurement, quality and technical supervision, and implement operational guidance and coordination; (2) Responsible for the technical centralized management of national marine standardization, organize and carry out relevant technical research and effect evaluation of marine standardization policies and standard systems, and undertake the daily work of the National Marine Standardization Technical Committee; (3) Undertake the formulation (revision) of marine national standards and industry standards, and carry out supervision and inspection of the technical review, publicity, review and implementation of marine standards; (4) Responsible for the management of marine metrology, manage marine measuring instruments in accordance with the law, organize and carry out marine metrology supervision, arbitration, laboratory proficiency testing and integration of testing resources, and undertake the daily work of the national metrology certification marine review team; (5) Responsible for researching, establishing, and managing the measurement benchmarks and standards for special quantities of oceanography, formulating metrological verification procedures, calibration and testing methods, and implementing the transmission and traceability of measurement values; (6) Responsible for the type management, environmental test, metrological verification, calibration, quality supervision and inspection of marine instruments and equipment, as well as the acceptance and testing of marine special measuring instruments; (7) Responsible for the relevant technical training and certification assessment of national marine standardization and measurement personnel, and undertake the testing and appraisal of national marine scientific and technological achievements; (8) Responsible for supervising and inspecting the quality of instruments and equipment, materials and other products in the marine industry; (9) Responsible for the construction and service of marine standardization, measurement and quality management informatization, and carry out international cooperation and exchange of marine standardization and measurement technology; (10) To undertake other matters assigned by the State Oceanic Administration.

The National Marine Standard Shed State Quasi-Chain Elimination Source Metrology Center was approved by the Central Editorial Board in October 1989, directly under the leadership of the State Oceanic Administration, and under the guidance of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China. It is also the National Marine Metrology Station, and is a national legal metrology verification agency authorized by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; It is also a national testing institution for the testing and appraisal of scientific and technological achievements jointly authorized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China. The main function of our center is to be responsible for the national marine standardization, measurement, quality and technical supervision, and to provide technical support and guarantee for marine economy, marine management, marine science and technology, marine safety and public welfare services.

The National Defense Group has established a temperature standard laboratory, a salinity standard laboratory, a chemical laboratory, a standard seawater laboratory, a wave buoy verification room and a water level gauge tide gauge verification room. At the same time, it has a water treatment equipment testing center and a marine instrument product testing center; It has also established a "National Marine Standard Metrology and Quality Information Network System" to release relevant laws and regulations, national and industry standards, marine metrology certification, measurement and testing, quality supervision and notification and other information.

In recent years, our center has undertaken and participated in a number of major projects of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, the National Natural Science Commission, the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China, the National Certification and Accreditation Supervision and Reform Orange Management Committee and the State Oceanic Administration.
