National railway grade, single line of the main line, limited slope 4, minimum curve radius of 600 meters, internal combustion traction (Dongfeng 4), traction mass of 3500 tons in the near future, 4000 tons in the long term, effective length of 850 meters to the starting line (reserved 1050 meters), relay semi-automatic blocking.

The provincial government approved the project with the document No. 32 [2007], marking the phased results of the preliminary work of the Linquan branch project of the Luofu Railway.

The line starts from Luohe East Station in Henan Province in the west, passes through Yuncheng District of Luohe City and Shangshui County to Zhoukou City in the east, and then the line turns southeast along the south bank of the Yinghe River to Xiangcheng City, crosses the Yinghe River to Shenqiu County after passing Xiangcheng, and then enters Jieshou City in Anhui Province along the Yinghe River, and passes through Taihe County to Fuyang City in Anhui Province.

The line is "the first inter-provincial local railway in New China" and has the reputation of "the best channel".

At the end of 2008, the national key construction project Luofu railway double line and electrification project was fully started, the project will have 70% of the section opened for operation at the end of 2010, and the whole line was put into operation in July 2014, which is a part of the Luoyang-Luohe-Fuyang-Nanjing high-capacity transportation channel planned by the national railway network.
