First, the bearing model - the basic model.
The first number or the first letter or combination of letters indicates the bearing type.
The last two digits determine the ISO size series; The first digit represents the width or height series (dimensions B, T, or H, respectively), and the second digit represents the diameter series (dimension D).
The last two digits of the basic designation are the size code of the bearing; Multiply by 5 to get the inner diameter in millimeters. But there are some exceptions to any rule. The most important exceptions to the bearing designation system are listed below.
1.In some cases, the number indicating the bearing type or the first number representing the size series is omitted. These figures are placed in parentheses in the table.
2.For bearings with an inner diameter of 10 mm or more than or equal to 500 mm, the inner diameter is usually indicated in millimeters without a code. The dimensions are separated from the rest of the bearing designation by a slash, for example:
618 8 (d = 8 mm) or 511 530 (d = 530 mm).According to ISO15:1998.
This method is also applicable for standard bearings with a diameter of 32 mm, e.g. 62 22 (d = 22 mm).
3.Bearings with an inner diameter of 17 mm are marked with the following size designations: 00 = 10 mm 01 = 12 mm 02 = 15 mm 03 = 17 mm.
4.For some smaller bearings with an inner diameter of less than 10 mm, such as deep groove, self-aligning and angular contact ball bearings, the bore diameter is also indicated in millimeters (without designation), but it is not separated from the series designation, e.g. 629 or 129 (d = 9 mm).
5.The bore diameter of a bearing that deviates from the standard bore is always denoted by up to three decimal places in millimeters instead of a designation. This ID mark is part of the base model and is separated from the base model by a slash, e.g. 6202 15875 (d = 15875 mm = 5 8 inches).
