There are many historical and humanistic contents in the scenic area, and the literary giants Yan Shu, Ouyang Xiu, Lu Gongshu, Su Shi, etc., have successively served as the prefect of Yingzhou, leaving many poems to the West Lake.

Yingzhou West Lake is located in the bank of Yingsheng, which is a mirror of the Central Plains in the Huaibei Plain, dazzling and desirable. Make full use of and protect the existing resources of the West Lake, take the wetland waters as the theme clue, reproduce the historical scene of Yingzhou West Lake, show the local people's encounter with tourism and cultural customs, interpret the wetland culture, and develop Yingzhou West Lake into a popular composite tourist destination and distribution center.

There are 86 species of wetland birds in 33 families and 13 orders in Yingzhou West Lake Wetland Reserve, among them, there are 3 species of national first-class protected animals such as Oriental White Stork, Hooded Crane and Great Bustard, and 10 species of national second-class protected animals such as Little Swan, Mandarin Duck, Kite, Red-bellied Eagle, Common Buzzard, Kestrel Fish, Tern Falcon, Gray Crane, Short-eared Owl and Long-eared Owl. The hairy crabs, whitebait, water chestnuts, lotus seeds, etc., which are abundant in the lake area, are of good quality and are well-known inside and outside the province.
