SKT4 belongs to the Japanese standard hot work die steel, the executive standard: JIS G4404-2006 SKT4 steel has good toughness, strength and high wear resistance, is a hot work die steel. Its mechanical properties are almost the same at room temperature and 500 600.
When heated to 500, it can still maintain the hardness of about HB300. Due to the presence of molybdenum in steel, it is not sensitive to tempering brittleness. After the 600 cooled down slowly, the impact toughness decreased only slightly.
It is suitable for manufacturing all kinds of large and medium-sized hammer forging dies and trimming dies with complex shapes, large impact loads, low working temperatures, and side lengths of 400mm.
