A new report by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) shows how devastating the global coronavirus pandemic has been on the world's tourism industry, according to Hong Kong's Asia Times on April 23. Since the coronavirus was first reported in January 2020, almost all travel destinations around the world have imposed restrictions or banned travel altogether, the report said. Currently, UNWTO said, the study found that 96 percent of the world's tourist destinations have completely or partially closed their borders to tourists – 90 different destinations are completely closed to tourists, and another 44 destinations are closed to specific tourists, depending on the country.
In Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, all travel destinations have been in place since January 2020 with Covid-related restrictions, the report said. In the Americas, 92% of destinations have taken similar measures, compared to 93% in Europe.
With the easing of the epidemic in China, most scenic spots are gradually opening up to tourists, and the tourism industry is recovering. According to the tourism data of the May Day holiday, tourists mainly travel in cities, provinces and surrounding areas. After all, the spread of the epidemic overseas has not been effectively controlled.
In the aftermath of pneumonia, all contact is subject to social distancing. In the past, it was the norm for dozens of tourists who didn't know each other to be crowded into tour buses at travel agencies, but now doing so can make tourists not only feel uncomfortable, but also scared. It is estimated that a large number of tourists may switch to self-guided tours, or that travel agencies may launch smaller but higher group travel programs, or that all visitors in the group know each other.
If you must travel abroad, here are a few things you can be aware of:
It's much better to throw yourself into the arms of mountains and rivers than crowded or closed entertainment venues. Direct flights are better than interline flights. Takeaway food is much better than eating in a restaurant. The choice of destination depends on the local situation and the impact of discrimination against Asians.
Of course, I still recommend that it is safer to play in China!
-
Bring a lot of masks, pay attention to food and drink, avoid going to crowded places, and keep your distance from others.
-
Don't go to countries with epidemics. Now that the epidemic is spreading severely, China has suppressed it, but some countries have not stopped it, and there is a risk of being infected.
-
It's best not to travel abroad, if you must go abroad, protective measures must be done, wear a mask at any time when you go outside, disinfect the place you live regularly, and avoid going to crowded places.
-
At present, if you want to travel abroad, you must find a country with a small degree of epidemic, do a good job of safety measures, wear masks, etc., and if there is a situation, you must seek help from the Chinese embassy.
-
First of all, we must choose a country with a mild epidemic, and we must prepare sufficient masks, disinfectants, and hand sanitizers to ensure daily hygiene, and do not eat roadside stalls at will.
