The next Olympics will be held in 2012

However, they quickly recovered from the shadow of defeat and confidently announced their bid for the 2012 Olympic Games. Of this year's five candidate cities, they are considered the biggest hits. The other three cities are New York, Madrid, and Moscow.

However, New York's public opposition to the city's bid for the Olympics is very high, and the bid plan is not perfect, so it is very difficult to succeed; Madrid has never hosted the Olympics, and although they have the support of the people and the royal family, their ability to protect their safety has been questioned. As the capital of Russia, historic Moscow is affected by various factors and is not favored. The results of the first three rounds of voting were as expected.

In the first round of voting, Moscow received the fewest votes and was the first to be eliminated. Their representatives will then have the opportunity to vote later. In the second round of voting, New York in the United States received the fewest votes and could not escape the fate of being eliminated.

In the third round of voting, no city received more than half of the votes in advance. Madrid, which was considered a possible "dark horse", received the fewest votes in the round and was also eliminated. The suspense of the host city elections was left to the final round, with Paris "dueling" the equally powerful London.

In this round of voting, the two sides did not embarrass IOC President Rogge to a draw, but rather came out on top. After an almost suffocating wait, a 13-year-old Chinese-Singaporean girl handed Rogge a letter with results. After thanking the people of Singapore, the host country, the countries that had previously applied and the five candidate cities, Rogge loudly announced to the world:
