After graduating from university, Pan Jieke began working as an engineer at China State Construction Engineering Corporation, and later rose to the position of deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Ministry of Construction. Since 1988, he has served as the chairman of the New York-based Sino-US Cultural Exchange Association, and also serves as a news anchor for Chinese Television (Sino Vision) in the United States. From 1997 to 2000, he was responsible for brand management in the Asia Pacific region at the headquarters of the Audi AG in Bavaria, Germany, and later served as Marketing Director and Chief Consultant for Greater China.
Since 2001, he has served as the chief financial commentator and host of Hong Kong Phoenix Satellite TV Information Channel. In 2003, he founded a TV program that interviews world celebrities and world leaders, and is an independent producer and host of Shanghai Dragon TV. He is the chief moderator of the Asia Capital Forum.
He has successfully presided over or planned hundreds of international conferences, summit forums, opening and closing ceremonies of large-scale events, award ceremonies, and roundtable discussions of experts from the world economic and business communities. These include: the World Economic Forum, the Boao Forum for Asia, the Asian Capital Forum, the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Conference and its Chinese Media Forum, and the Harvard Forum.
He has also planned and presided over various activities for dozens of foreign countries or companies in China, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Finland, Japan, etc.
Most of the hundreds of guests interviewed by Pan Jake were well-known international dignitaries or Fortune 100 entrepreneurs.
