In August 2003, it was restored and rebuilt with the approval of the customs department, and it is the Buddhist temple with the largest number of natural jade Buddhas in Myanmar in the country.

Master Yanlong, born in April 1955, is a native of Chaohu City, Anhui Province, and is of Han nationality. Commonly known as Zhang Yiyou, he became a monk in Jiuhua Mountain, Anhui Province in 1982, and later devoted himself to Gaomin Temple in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. He has successively served as the guest of Gaomin Temple, the hall master, the supervisor, the first seat and so on.
In 1992, he served as the abbot of Cuiwei Temple in Huangshan. In the summer of 1997, Venerable Yanlong served as the acting abbot of Tianjin Jiaojia Monastery and is currently the abbot of Qianzun Jade Buddha Temple. In 2004, he received the Dharma at Gaomin Temple and is the 48th generation of Chinese Zen Buddhism.
In February 2010, he was elected as a member of the 8th Council of the Buddhist Association of China.

The existing main buildings of the temple are the Tianwang Palace, the Daxiong Treasure Palace, the Guanyin Palace, the Dizang Palace, the Maitreya Palace, the Reclining Buddha Palace, the Patriarch Hall, etc., which were built in the first year of Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty. "Cultural Revolution" was destroyed during the temple, after the 80s the temple was reopened, the temple was rebuilt, the last renovation was in 1992, the temple has five large white marble Buddha statues invited by Myanmar, respectively, the statue of Sakyamuni, the statue of Sakyamuni Nirvana, the statue of Amitabha Buddha, the statue of Medicine Buddha and the statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva Manna pure wine, all of which are carved with Myanmar's high-quality white marble, crystal round, pure and solemn. In addition, there are 48 statues, the largest is 80 centimeters tall and the smallest is 80 centimeters.
The bronze statue of Sakyamuni of the Tang Dynasty and a copy of the Diamond Sutra of the Sui Dynasty are treasured in the temple, which still exist after calamity and are very precious.

Although the name of the Thousand Jade Buddha Temple is "Thousand Buddhas", it has actually brought together 10,000 Jade Buddhas, which have arrived in the scenic area from Myanmar, and the total number of Jade Buddhas has reached 11,080. These 10,000 Buddha statues have different postures and vivid images, and the materials are all made of high-quality Burmese jade. The Jade Buddha is placed in the main hall and the side halls on both sides.
Buddha statues are either standing or sitting, and the Buddha statues are different from their expressions to their production techniques.
Some are kind and dignified and otherworldly; Some of them are angry-eyed and solemn; Some are carefree and smiling all day long. Each one is handmade by local skilled craftsmen in Myanmar. The largest of these is a reclining Buddha, which is 7 meters long, 3 meters high, and weighs 25 tons.
This natural reclining Buddha is a single piece of natural jade. According to the description of local jade workers in Myanmar, it is rare to be able to preserve and carve such a big Buddha intact, and it is a treasure in the world. In addition, the tallest standing Buddha is tall and weighs 15 tons.
Each of the four Bodhisattva halls is 8 tons of jade Buddha, and the main Buddha of the underground palace is 20 tons. The smallest Jade Buddha is only 35 centimeters tall and weighs 10 kilograms.

When entering the temple, you must know that Buddhism is the most rules, and the monks have "three thousand prestige, eighty thousand fine lines", and pay attention to the law of living, sitting and lying. Whenever you see a monk, it is advisable to call him a master or a master, and when you bow to him, if he says to bow down, you don't have to force him to bow more. Ritual instruments: The chime, wooden fish, bells and drums in the temple are the eyes of the dragon, and they are not allowed to play and beat without authorization, and the robes, sea green and other things are not allowed to move; 6. If there is a Dharma teacher in the hall, it is advisable to sit down with the crowd and listen respectfully. Do not greet acquaintances, sit up unsteadily, talk and laugh, and influence others. If you can't finish listening to something, but ask the master with your palms together, and retreat quietly; 7. Fasting:
If you are fasting in the temple, with the consent of the guest hall, you should slowly enter the hall with the crowd, and it is advisable to sit under the monks or in the back row, and you must not laugh or laugh, and you must not sit with your legs crossed; 8. Reception: If you need to meet a familiar master or layman in the monastery, you should go to the guest hall to confess to the guest master, and you can only meet and talk with acquaintances after being notified by the guest, and you should not enter the monk's dormitory or guest room on your own.
