The formation of a tornado.

Tornadoes are the product of thunderstorms in the clouds. Specifically, a tornado is a form in which a small portion of a thunderstorm's enormous energy is released in a concentrated area over a small area. The formation of a tornado can be divided into four stages:

1) The instability of the atmosphere produces a strong updraft, which is further strengthened due to the influence of the maximum transit flow in the jet stream.

2) As a result of interaction with winds that shear in both velocity and direction in the vertical direction, the updraft begins to rotate in the middle of the troposphere, forming a mesoscale cyclone.

3) As the mesoscale cyclone develops towards the surface and extends upward, it itself tapers and intensifies. At the same time, a small area of reinforcement complementation, i.e., the formation of a nascent tornado inside the cyclone, produces the same process of the cyclone, forming the tornado core.

4) The spin in the tornado's core is different from that in a cyclone, and it is strong enough for the tornado to stretch all the way to the ground. When the developing vortex reaches the ground level, the ground air pressure drops sharply and the surface wind speed rises sharply, forming a tornado.

Because it comes down from above, and then it goes up again. The process of going up is the little tornado you see!
