Automatic upgrade is an important service provided by antivirus software, but it is a little troublesome for LAN users, now more and more units have set up a LAN, but for security reasons, computer users in the intranet are not allowed to access the Internet at will, so that it is impossible to upgrade. The solution is not nothing, most antivirus software supports LAN upgrade, let's take Kingsoft Antivirus with many users as an example to explain the LAN upgrade method. If you're using any other brand of antivirus, don't worry, the operation will be pretty much the same.

First of all, select a computer that can access the Internet normally in the intranet as the "upgrade server" of Kingsoft Antivirus. Share the "update" folder in the Kingsoft Antivirus installation directory (other antivirus software also has similar folders), and set the sharing permission to allow "everyone" to read. After that, the ** upgrade operation can be performed normally on the machine.

Run Kingsoft Antivirus on each computer in the LAN, click the "Upgrade" button in the main window, select the "Custom Upgrade Mode" in the upgrade wizard window, select the "Upgrade from Local, LAN" item in the "Select Upgrade Method" window (as shown in the figure), click the "Browse" button in the "Select Path" window, select the "Update" shared folder on the above "Upgrade Server", and then continue to click the "Next" button to complete the upgrade operation.
