His special appearance and industriousness and bravery, when he grew up, he was promoted by people as a tribal leader, because his tribe lived in the hot south, called the Yan tribe, and everyone called him Emperor Yan. Once he saw birds planting seeds, which led to the invention of grain agriculture, and because of these outstanding contributions, everyone called him Shennong.

He saw that people were sick, and went to the garden of the Emperor of Heaven to get Yao grass from the garden of the Emperor of Heaven in the field of Duguang, and Shennong took this whip from the field of Duguang and walked all the way back to the Lieshan. Shennong was poisoned many times by tasting herbs, all thanks to tea detoxification. Because he vowed to taste all the grass, he finally died because he tasted the grass of broken intestines.

In order to commemorate his kindness and merits, people worship him as the god of the king of medicine, and build the temple of the king of medicine to worship at four o'clock. In China's Sichuan, Hubei and Shaanxi borders, it is said that it is the place where Shennong tastes a hundred herbs, which is called Shennongjia Mountain.

My favorite mythological story is "Nuwa Mends the Sky", and I'm going to tell you about it. The legend of Nuwa mending the sky: Legend has it that Pangu opened the world, Nuwa made people out of yellow clay, the sun, moon and stars performed their duties, the people lived and worked in peace and contentment, and the four seas sang and danced.

Later, Gonggong fought for the throne with Zhuan, and was unable to win and could not touch the mountain, resulting in the collapse of the heavenly pillars, the extinction of the earth, the waste of the four poles, the split of Kyushu, the tilting of the northwest of the sky, the sinking of the east and the south, the flooding, the spread of fires, and the displacement of the people. When Nuwa saw her people in the midst of a great calamity, she was very concerned and decided to refine stones to make up for the heavens. So she traveled all over the world, wading through the mountains, and finally chose Tiantai Mountain, a fairy mountain on the sea beyond the East China Sea.

Tiantai Mountain is one of the five immortal mountains in the East China Sea, and the five immortal mountains are hunched on the back of the gods to prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the sea. Why did Nuwa choose Tiantai Mountain, because only Tiantai Mountain produces five-colored soil for refining stones, which is an excellent place to refine and replenish heavenly stones. So, Nuwa piled up the boulder of filial piety on the top of Tiantai Mountain as a furnace, took the five-colored soil as the material, and borrowed the sun god fire, which lasted nine days and nine nights, and refined 36,501 five-color boulders.

Then it lasted nine days and nine nights, and 36,500 pieces of colorful stones were used to make up the sky. The remaining piece is left on the top of Yutani in the middle of Mt. Tendai. The heavens were repaired, but there was no pillar to support the four poles.

If there were no pillars to support it, the sky would fall. In desperation, Nuwa had no choice but to cut off the four feet that carried the god of Tiantai Mountain to support the four poles. However, if Tiantai Mountain did not have the load of Shenao, it would sink to the bottom of the sea, so Nuwa moved Tiantai Mountain to Langya on the coast of the East China Sea, which is the area of Taoda Town in Rizhao City today.

To this day, there are still Nuwa mending the rooftop, and there are the gods who have been cut off and the remaining colorful stones under the mending roof, which are called the sun god stone by later generations. After Nuwa mends the rooftop, the heaven and the earth are positioned, the flood returns, the fire of Qiaotong is extinguished, and the four seas are quiet. People sing and dance on Tiantai Mountain, celebrate the success of mending the sky, and at the same time build a Nuwa Temple at the foot of the mountain, which is worshiped from generation to generation, and there is an endless stream of worshippers and incense.
