1. Use engine oil with poor quality or viscosity grade that does not meet the requirements. In addition, too low or too high oil viscosity can lead to poor engine lubrication, increased wear of piston rings and cylinder walls, and reduced sealing performance, resulting in oil burning.

2. The matching gap between the piston ring and the cylinder wall is too large, the piston ring is improperly installed or the sealing is poor, and the oil on the cylinder wall enters the combustion chamber, causing the phenomenon of burning the engine oil; In addition, poor sealing performance of the valve seal, damage to the crankcase forced draft valve (PCV) or crankcase vent blockage can cause excessive pressure in the crankcase to cause the oil to enter the cylinder with the crankcase gas and participate in combustion.

3. Burning engine oil caused by excessive oil filling. When the oil is filled above the center line, the part of the engine lubrication process that passes through splash lubrication will be too much into the combustion chamber due to the high oil pressure.

4. Oil leakage from turbocharger. The turbocharger is mounted at the front of the exhaust pipe and operates at a very high temperature, and the turbine and pump wheels can reach 120,000 revolutions per minute when the engine is running at full load. The turbine shaft has oil-lubricated floating bearings, and the car has one oil passage to the turbocharger.

Oil leaks from pipes or bearings can allow oil to seep from the turbocharger into the exhaust pipe. When the exhaust pipe temperature is high, the oil is baked and discharged into blue smoke.

5. There is leakage in the valve oil seal, which means that the oil leaks into the combustion chamber through the valve oil seal.

1. Use engine oil that meets the technical requirements of the vehicle. Many car owners never read the vehicle manual, and they don't know what quality and viscosity grade oil their vehicles use for a few years, and there is a lot of arbitrariness in the use of engine oil. When using engine oil, one is to pay attention to the quality index, and the other is to pay attention to the viscosity index.

The quality index refers to the grade above SL as much as possible, and the viscosity index should be strictly in accordance with the provisions of the viscosity index in the automobile manual, and cannot be too low or too high.

2. Avoid frequent rapid acceleration and long-term ultra-high-speed driving. When the engine rotates at ultra-high speed, it is easy to break the lubricating oil film, resulting in poor lubrication and dry grinding of the rotating parts, and when it becomes a regular operation, it will make the engine wear abnormally and burn the oil, therefore, maintaining economic speed is one of the best ways to prevent the phenomenon of burning oil.

3. The oil must meet the specifications when filling. When the oil filling volume exceeds the center line, the repairman should be asked to pump out the excess oil, in addition, the oil volume should be observed before the next day.

4. If you find that the engine oil is burned, go to the maintenance station for inspection as soon as possible. If it is due to engine failure (such as poor piston ring sealing, valve oil seal leakage, cylinder gasket leakage, etc.), you should go to the maintenance station as soon as possible to check and repair the fault as soon as possible.
