To paint watercolor, you need to prepare 16 kinds of paints!
Green = yellow + blue, plus red becomes what we usually call the addition of three elements. The so-called primary color, also known as the primary color, or the primary color, is the basic color used to mix other colors. Primary colors have the highest color purity, the purest and most vivid.
Most colors can be blended, while other colors cannot be blended to create three primary colors. In terms of the understanding of the concept of the three primary colors, it is basically the same as that in the textbook.
The three primary colors are divided into two categories, one is the chromatic primary color, which is called the additive color method three primary colors; The other type is the pigment (dye) three primary colors, also known as the subtractive color three primary colors. The latter is described in the art book. The mixing of the three primary colors of pigments, also known as subtractive color mixing, is the reduction of light, after the mixing of the two colors, the luminosity is lower than the original luminosity of the two colors, the more colors are combined, the more light is absorbed, and the closer it is to black.
Therefore, the more times it is blended, the worse the purity, and the more it loses its simplicity and distinctiveness. The mixture of the three primary pigments, which should theoretically be black, is actually a black cloudy color with very poor purity, and can also be considered a dark gray with very low luminosity. Magenta and green, yellow and purple, cyan and orange, the mix of colors is close to black.
Art textbooks talk about the use of paint in painting, and the author has seen that most textbooks and books refer to red, yellow, and blue as the three primary colors. However, the situation in art practice and production operations is not consistent with what the textbooks say.
The ink blending of color printing, the principle and production of color **, the design and practical application of color printers, are yellow, magenta, and blue are the three primary colors. Color printing is printed with yellow, magenta, and blue inks plus black ink, and the printing of four-color printing press is a typical example. In the imaging of color **, the three emulsion layers are:
The bottom layer is yellow, the middle layer is magenta, and the upper layer is cyan. All brands of color inkjet printers are also printed in yellow, magenta, blue and black ink cartridges. By definition, primary colors should be able to modulate most of the other colors, and none of the other colors can be blended.
Art practice has proved that magenta with a small amount of yellow can make a big red, but a big red can't make a magenta; Blue can be obtained by adding a small amount of magenta, while blue and white can get a non-vivid blue; Yellow, magenta, and cyan can be used to create more colors, and they are pure and vivid. For example, the green of blue and yellow is more pure and vivid than the green of blue and yellow, while the latter is darker. The purple blended by magenta and cyan is very pure, while the red and blue can only get gray purple and so on.
In addition, judging from the mixing of other colors, yellow, magenta, and blue are used as their primary colors, and the colors are richer and the colors are more pure and vivid.
To sum up, whether it is from the definition of primary colors or verified by the results of practical application, it is enough to show that yellow, magenta, and blue are called the three primary colors, which is more appropriate than red, yellow, and blue.

I use the cherry blossom twelve-color one myself, because I don't have money = = I personally think the twelve-color is a bit less, but there are a lot of colors that can be tuned out by yourself. If you feel like it's too much trouble to adjust the colors, you can buy eighteen colors or more.

Look at your own color mixing ability, 24 colors that are not very good are enough, 18 colors 15 colors 12 colors 8 colors can be mixed if you can, and it depends on your own painting style, and your favorite color, not enough can also be made up.

Write a suggestion first, and put a few works at the end of the article.
Top pigments are not recommended for beginners. Watercolor three major tools, paper, pen, paint. The most important is paper, followed by pens, and pigment comes last.
For starters, there is not much difference between dozens and hundreds of paints. But in the hands of beginners, the difference between good paper and bad paper is particularly obvious.
It is suggested that beginners should spend most of their budget on paper.
24 colors are recommended for pigments, 12 colors are not enough for new students who don't know how to mix colors, 36 is too much, and 24 colors are just right.
Pigments don't have to be too expensive, but the paper must be the best, at least cotton pulp paper.
Here are some of my favorite tools.
Paper: Ashi (personally think the best paper), Baohong (not the best, but the most cost-effective). In addition, I have used Canson's Barbizon and 1557, wood pulp paper, which is cheap, but not recommended.
Ah Shi and Bao Hong are my most recommended, the budget is sufficient, Ah Shi, if not, Bao Hong.
Pen: This is a lot, the traditional watercolor pen has a round head and a flat head, watercolor was introduced to China after the brush was also used to paint watercolor, with the development of time also appeared cat tongue pen, grass brush, blade pen and so on. From the hair, there are mainly mink hair, squirrel hair, nylon hair, and other animal hair.
The watercolor pen is too wide, not one or two clicks can be explained, the subject can go to understand slowly.
Paints: Paints don't make much difference for novices, and even I don't think many masters use them much, and I often see a lot of big touches using Marley. Here are a few cheap paints for beginners, all of which I have personally used.
Marley (one of the cheapest pigments, the color is particularly bright and suitable for floral landscapes), Gewen (known as the most cost-effective pigment, the color is very light and the opposite of Marley, often called frigidity, suitable for painting small freshness), White Night (full of fighting ethnic atmosphere, bright colors), Rubens (not too much of a point, not too much of a disadvantage).
For this butterfly, the paper is a rainbow, the pigment is Marley, and the pen is Martini squirrel hair. (Marley is really cheap 24 colors 30 more r).
This carrot, the paper is Baohong, the pen is Windsor Newton's mixed hair, and the pigment is mainly the song (the dark part is used by Marley, the song is too light and deep to come down).
Fish, paper Canson, 1557, pigment song, pen Windsor, Newton, mixed hair. (It can be seen here that the color of the song is very light).

Beginners in watercolor painting need to prepare brushes, paper, paints and color palettes, as well as some aids.
1. Paintbrush. To engage in general sketching or creation, you need to prepare three types of round-tipped brushes: large, medium, and small, as well as a board brush about 3 to 4 cm wide and one or two flat-tipped brushes.
The watercolor pen is composed of three parts: the barrel, the bristle and the metal sleeve. The most important thing is the material of the brush hair, generally mink hair, squirrel hair, cow ear hair, pig bristles, raccoon hair, pony hair and nylon hair. Among them, the mink brush is soft and elastic, with good water content and durability, and is the most careful watercolor pen, there are two kinds of Siberian mink (kolinsky) and red sable (redsable).
Nylon brushes have strong aggregation and elasticity, but the water content is small, and the pigment is not easy to release. The bristle pen is elastic, but the texture is hard, suitable for dealing with rough effects, and other cow ear hair, squirrel hair, pony hair and domestic raccoon hair watercolor pens can also be selected.
2. Drawing paper. For beginners, the appropriate size of the picture is generally not less than 20cm*30cm, nor larger than 40cm*50cm, and the ratio of length and width is determined according to the interest and subject matter.
Paper is usually made from materials such as cotton, linen, cottonrags or wood pulp, which is inexpensive and prone to spoilage, yellowing and chipping over time, and is often used for sketching exercises. A good watercolor paper should be made of cotton, linen or rags, and its composition will be indicated on the paper itself or in the sample catalog.
3. Pigments and toning boxes.
There are many types of watercolor paints, but it is impossible to use all colors when painting. For the convenience of color matching, the colors are generally arranged in order according to the cold and warm categories.
The common arrangement of colors is: dark red, bright red, vermilion, orange, earthy yellow, medium yellow, lemon yellow, permanent light green, ruby emerald green, lake blue, ultramarine, plain blue, peyne gray, vandyck brown, ripe brown, ripe ochre. In addition to the regular palette, you can also use other white plastic or porcelain plates.
4. Auxiliary tools.
Pitchers for brushing pens, vials with spray spouts, paper towels, and sponges are also common tools for cleaning and modifying images.

No. Reason:
1. When painting transparent watercolor works, watercolor pigments need to have a high degree of transparency, so as to create the unique rich color effect of watercolor and the changes in thickness and layer, while the gouache pigment powder quality is higher, and the coverage power is correspondingly higher, and it is difficult to create color levels;
2. There is a difference between the color effect of gouache paint wet color and dry color, especially the color saturation of diluted gouache pigment will be reduced, if you can't master the use of this color, the color of reduced saturation will appear very gray on the picture, and the expected color effect can not be achieved;
3. Watercolor pigment is gelatinous, not easy to peel off after drying, gouache pigment is weak, in order to achieve a certain color effect, the consistency and thickness of the pigment must be increased, which will cause the pigment to peel off easily after drying;
4. Watercolor painting is a painting method of painting with water and transparent pigments, referred to as watercolor, because the color is transparent, one layer of color covering another layer can produce a special effect, but mixing too many colors or covering too much will make the color dirty, and the water dries quickly, so watercolor painting is not suitable for making large-scale works, and is suitable for making fresh and bright small paintings such as landscapes. The color is easy to carry, and can also be used as a sketch collection material.

01 Watercolor paints.
Watercolor pigments can be divided into solid watercolor pigments and liquid watercolor pigments according to their form. Solid watercolor pigments are generally expensive, but solid watercolor pigments are relatively environmentally friendly and energy-saving, and there will be no waste. There are also beginners who choose canned liquid pigments, for example, Marley's canned pigments are very cheap, and there are many beginners who choose them.
But if you want to stick with watercolor, I recommend using solid pigments.
02 Watercolor pen.
There are many types of watercolor pens, and the watercolor pens on the market are also mixed. But out of peace of mind, everyone will choose branded products, such as the red fat detail watercolor pen, but this watercolor pen is quite expensive, please feel free to have silver. But for beginners, you can choose a more ordinary pen, because watercolor painting is not as demanding as paper.
03 Watercolor paper.
Watercolor paper is the most important thing in painting watercolor, and it can be said that it is difficult for you to draw a good picture without good watercolor paper, which shows its importance. Watercolor paper is divided into wood pulp paper and cotton paper according to the material, and is divided into fine and medium coarse according to the rough subdivision of the grain, basically there is no good or bad, but it is suitable for different performances. However, watercolor paper is best to use big brand paper, and beginners can use domestic Baoding paper as practice paper, which is more cost-effective.
04 Paint tray.
Paint pans aren't as particular for watercolor, but it's worth mentioning that beginners love to clean them. But in fact, the watercolor paint plate does not need to be cleaned without affecting the use, and it can be used directly next time, which can save paint and be lazy.
05 Pencil washer.
Beginners don't have to buy a professional pen wash holder, they can make a simple pen wash pot by themselves. The pen wash holder is mainly used for shabu shabu, and it does not have too much effect, as long as it is a suitable container, it can be used as a pen wash holder.
06 Pencil and eraser.
These two things are essential. Watercolor is different from gouache, which can be shaped with paint, watercolor does not have strong coverage, so it is easy to smudge the picture with it, so it is very necessary to use a pencil. It is also worth mentioning that the eraser is easy to wipe the paper out of the ball after multiple erases, so it can also be glued off with a plastic eraser.
07 Absorbent sponge.
The absorbent sponge is used to absorb excess gouache from watercolor pens, so you can borrow paper towels even if you don't have one. Paper towels are cleaner and more hygienic than absorbent sponges, but they also cause waste, depending on the individual's choice.

Can you paint watercolor paint by hand? There are many ways to paint watercolor, most people like watercolor painting very much, because the color is bright, it can better reflect the beauty of art, watercolor painting belongs to color dyes, there are still a lot of harmful substances for us, let's see if watercolor paint can be painted by hand?
You can't paint with your hands, watercolor paint is harmful to the body. Among all colors, red, yellow, white, blue, green, and black 6 belong to the basic colors, and the other colors are blended by them, and the 4 colors of white, yellow, red, and green all contain toxic substances such as lead dioxide and arsenic trioxide.
What are the properties of watercolor paints
1. It can be released with water, which is conducive to cleaning.
2. Quick drying. The paint dries a few minutes after the pen is placed, so you don't have to wait months for it to be varnished after it's finished, as is the case with oil paintings. Painters who prefer slow-drying pigments can use retardants to delay the drying time of pigments.
3. After the coloring layer dries, it will quickly lose its solubility, and at the same time form a tough, elastic and impermeable film. This membrane is similar to rubber.
4. The color is full, heavy and fresh, no matter how it is blended, there will be no feeling of "dirty" and "gray". The tinted layer will never absorb oil and become dirty.
5. The durability of the work is long. The oil film in oil painting is easy to oxidize after a long time, and it is easy to crack the picture when it turns yellow and hard. The acrylic film will theoretically never be brittle, nor will it turn yellow.
The above is the question of "can watercolor paint be painted by hand", watercolor paint is not natural, so it is best not to paint directly with your hands, or it is better to paint with a pen, and it is better for parents to accompany children when they are learning to paint, so as to avoid children eating watercolor paints by mistake, and the harm caused by accidental eating to children is very great.
1. Solid watercolor pigments
1. First prepare a palette and then a pencil pot filled with water.
2. Then use a special watercolor pen to dip a small amount of water in the pen wash holder and gently rub it on the surface of the pigment.
3. Then mix the water and pigment in the palette.
2. Watercolor pigments in tubes
1. Squeeze out the pigment and put it into the palette first, and decide how much according to the needs of the picture.
2. Wet the watercolor pen, and gently mix the concentration you need in the palette with the pen and water.
When using watercolor paints, it is generally used'It is a wet painting method, we need to fully grasp the water, in the process of painting to give full play to the role of water, the amount of water and the paper and air humidity have a certain relationship, because the amount of water is directly related to the transparency and brightness of the picture. For example, when it is humid outdoors and indoors, it is generally difficult for water to evaporate, and less water is required; When you are outdoors in dry and hot temperatures, you need to use plenty of water, and you need to speed up your painting and color grading.
No, the summary is that watercolor is a water-based pigment, and oil painting is an oil-based pigment. >>>More
