There is nothing that cannot be done in the world: there is nothing in the world that cannot be done.
Source: (Ming) Zhang Juzheng "Answer to the Great Governor of Xuan Wu Huanzhou Ce Huang Chieftain".
Original text: Huang Chieftain, yesterday Jianchuan Gong also copied this soldier. This chieftain is greedy and indulging, and he should be bound by me in the end.
Looking at the words of his book, it is no longer the stubbornness of the past, and it can be made with a few of them. Do more spies, suspect their hearts, and use sharp bait to hit their desires. Forgive him for being powerless.
His wife's family is in the three guards, that is, it is passed on to the thistle people, and the amount is more preferential, and it is also a machine. ......I hope that judging the time is appropriate, thinking and moving, there is nothing that cannot be done in the world. Now it's easy to hear.
Interpretation: This is a letter written by Zhang Juzheng to Wu Huanzhou, the governor of Xuanda. Xuanda Governor, known as Governor Xuanfu Datong Local Zanli Military Affairs, was a governor position established in the early and middle Ming Dynasty to manage the defense of Xuanfu and Datong in the northern frontier region.
The Huang chief mentioned in the letter is Huang Taiji, the son of the Mongolian Altan Khan. In the fifth year of Longqing (1571), legend has it that my brother Kundu Liha died, and Zhang Juzheng wanted to support Qingtaiji, the son of Kundu Liha, to confront Huang Taiji, the son of Ida. This letter involves the northern border defense of the Ming Dynasty, so Zhang Juzheng warned:
I hope that judging the time is appropriate, thinking and moving, there is nothing that cannot be done in the world. "I hope that the other party will judge the situation according to the changes in the situation, and then take action after careful consideration of everything, then there is nothing in the world that cannot be done.

-
Meaning: you can't succeed in doing anything in the world.
Original text: If you don't have a will, there is nothing you can do in the world.
Meaning: If you have uncertain ambitions, you will not succeed in anything. The metaphor means that military commanders must establish a lofty ambition to defend their homes and the country, and they must be determined.

If you don't have a will, there is nothing you can do in the world.

Take the world often with nothing" means that the way to take the world is always not reckless. Its source is the forty-eighth chapter of the Tao Te Ching: "Taking the world is often done without rent, and it is not enough to take the world."
This kind of thinking emphasizes Zheng Kai's rule by inaction, and governs the country in a way that does not interfere, oppress, or deprive, so as to realize the self-teaching and distortion of the people and achieve a harmonious and orderly social state.

Even if you do business, Zaosun should also take it as the highest stool and bend the chain moral standard. This is the most high-minded political philosophy.
It is also the highest strategy.

This should be the embodiment of Lao Tzu's idea of "non-action"; It can be understood in two ways;
First, it can be regarded as passive conservatism, such as what Lao Tzu once said, "Sage Yun: I do nothing, but the people are self-reliant; I am so quiet, and the people are upright; I have nothing to do, and the people are rich; I have no desires and the people are simple. ”
Take the world often with nothing", that is, "do nothing", that is, "governing a big country is like cooking a small fresh, don't toss back and forth, do nothing to make trouble, and change the order every day; The more "nothing", the happier the people, and when the people are happy, the world will naturally be peaceful;
This is an explanation; There is another explanation, which is much more positive than this - inaction, not doing nothing; Rather, it is "not to fight unprepared battles when you are not prepared and do not understand each other."
Here's an example. Fight against coronavirus.
There is a term called "herd immunity", which is actually Lao Tzu's "Wu Wei" - anyway, there is no way for human beings to take the new coronavirus, there is no vaccine, and there is no special drug, such as letting 60% of the population "naturally" be infected with the virus and then "naturally" obtain immunity, which is "Wu Wei" (nothing).
Of course, there is another interpretation of "inaction" (nothingness) here, which is that "there is no right to speak without investigation."
If you don't know about the new coronavirus, you can observe it for a period of time, collect enough data (autopsy) and then actively develop vaccines and select drugs, so as to treat it more accurately and targeted.
Therefore, "taking the world from the long and nothing" (inaction) is itself a dialectic.
Nothing, not doing nothing, if the new crown epidemic.
When you come, you don't do anything, that's waiting for death;
However, even "herd immunity" has to be "something" (promising), such as isolating the elderly, isolating people with underlying diseases, and allowing those young people who are physically strong to obtain natural immunity.
There is another example. For example, the United States**.
In the early days of the epidemic, he did not act, so that the spread of the epidemic could not be stopped, and at this time, the United States did not review itself, but "did nothing to do" and dumped the World Health Organization.
and China, this is "something" (promising), that is, "chaotic action", can we "take the world" (win the victory against the epidemic)? Therefore, it is said that "it is not enough to take the world".
