What sutras do beginners recite? What scriptures do students need to read?

1 Start with the precepts.

Don't study anything else first, learn the precepts first, do the five precepts well, grasp this.

When you have a certain foundation and you have wisdom, you can choose the method, and then you will already know how to go about your cultivation. Otherwise, I hurriedly entered a method at the beginning, and I felt that it was not suitable for me to cultivate it, and it was not suitable but I practiced it for so long, and sometimes I couldn't quit.

You have to choose well, and you have to go to the end.

When you grasp the precepts at the end of the Dharma period, you will grasp everything, and if you can't grasp the precepts, you won't be able to grasp anything. Therefore, the most difficult aspect of practicing during the end of the Dharma period is whether or not you can keep the precepts. If you can keep the precepts, then you won't be afraid of any problems!

In our practice, we have to grasp this key point, grasp the key point, and grasp the foundation.

Some people say that I am already old, should I start by chanting Buddha? No matter how old you are, you have to start with taking vows.

Why start with vows? Because we don't become a Buddha in this lifetime, how many eons do we have to go through to become a Buddha, right? Since we are studying Buddhism today, we must lay a good foundation, and we must lay a good foundation for future lives, and this is very important.

When people are old, it doesn't mean that we won't have the opportunity to study Buddhism, and we won't be able to study Buddhism in the next life. Therefore, whether we are old or young, we should start from the basics.

2.Learn the Diamond Sutra

This is very important because of the enlightened Diamond Sutra. After you have finished studying the Diamond Sutra, you can learn Tantra and the Pure Land, otherwise you will fall into the phase, which is also very terrible.

Some of them first learn from the "Dizang Sutra", but the problem is that although the "Dizang Sutra" talks about filial piety, but because of our knowledge, understanding, and our habits, some are incorrect, and they will become like a great fairy, which is not appropriate. In the end, I get nervous, which is not good.

Therefore, we should start with the Diamond Sutra. With the foundation of the Diamond Sutra, we will be able to learn other methods very quickly.

You can do anything, the key is whether you can keep reading? As long as you can persevere, you can open up wisdom by reciting any sutra. If you can't persevere, reciting any sutra will have no effect. Nam no Amitabha Buddha (Namaste).
