Therefore, when we bring up the conversation, we should never think about it with a second thought, but directly experience the feeling of doubt that it brings in itself. The kind of question that cannot be answered and does not know the answer is a doubt. After the feeling of doubt is maintained, we will be eager to know the answer, and at this time, on top of the doubt, we should mention the power of awareness to see through and investigate (similar to the feeling and affection of Yongjia Zen Dharma), which is a kind of awareness without delusion.

This awakening force, because of the impetus of doubt, has been rushing to the depths of the heart to investigate the answer, this is the ginseng. Therefore, the ingenuity of the reference head is completely manifested in the role of suspicion in promoting the illumination force to the heart.

A living person can run, jump, and talk, but once dead, he is a corpse that does not move. Think about it, isn't this color body when you are alive the same color body as the dead body after you die?

When the word "who" is raised, whose heart is fixed? The word does not move, hold on to whom? , there will be a sense of doubt at the moment.

In the moment of doubt, never think about the answer; When delusion comes, who will it put again? The feeling is raised, the drowsiness comes, and it is only focused on whom? on the question.

And then in whom? In terms of doubts, the heart is not moved to look at and investigate, this is the "participation". Others like Who is chanting Buddha?

What was the true face of the parents before they were born? All have a similar effect, and they are all pursuing whom? 」。

When I first started working hard, I had a lot of delusions, and the feeling of doubt was easily discarded with the delusions; Slowly, the conversation will be stable and dense, delusions will not be easy to enter, the feeling of doubt will be able to continue, and the power of the ginseng will slowly increase.

That's it, it's so simple! There are no esoteric theories, no tortuous processes, and when the doubts are broken, you will be enlightened and free from life and death. That's what Zen is all about, it's simple and powerful, the simpler it is, the better it is, and it's best for everyone to use it, and that's where it's valuable.

The head of the conversation should be centrifugal and conscious, that is to say, we cannot use our thinking to participate, and in general, we must enter an extremely focused mental state to participate.

The beginning of the conversation is that you have not yet started the thought, there is no delusion of distinction, this is the beginning of the conversation, the Zen door is proposed to have no thought as the sect, there is a heart is wrong, the thought is obedient, you don't want to find another talk, no, the head of the talk is your own head, not in other places to find a head of the word to see, as long as you don't have a heart, the moment is the head, and you need to find it? This is a doubt, a big doubt, a small doubt, a small doubt, no doubt, it seems that this doubt is very important, if you want to see clearly, you must have doubts. Some people don't know this suspicion, but in fact, it's a suspicion!

It's not that the conversation and the suspicion are two things, such as who is chanting the Buddha? If you don't understand, it's a doubt. This suspicion is not a suspicion of crankiness, analysis and speculation, suspicion of ghosts, not a riddle, not to find someone to come out, this is all delusional separation, are not doubts, doubts do not belong to thoughts, do not belong to separation, that is, because they do not understand, doubts arise in their hearts, a doubt is stopped, don't think about it anymore, keep this doubt undispersed, look at the head of the conversation is to see this doubt is not lost, doubt is current, all thoughts are not born, take care of doubts, not drowsy, not scattered, the history is clear, like flowing water, do not make interruptions, At six o'clock in the day, it was just a suspicion.
