Are you talking about rail pressure sensors?

Rail pressure sensor: The outline structure rail pressure sensor is installed at one end of the fuel rail, which is mainly used to measure the fuel pressure in the common rail pipe. It measures the instantaneous fuel pressure in the rail through a silicon membrane (sensing unit), and the sensor element is mounted on the silicon membrane to convert the fuel pressure into a voltage output.
How it works. 1): The core of the sensor is a steel film, and the test medium cannot be penetrated. The Wheatstone bridge circuit on the steel film surface integrates a strain gauge element (4 variable resistors are integrated on the upper surface of the rigid film in the form of a Wheatstone bridge).
2): When the pressure is generated, the resistance of the bridge circuit changes due to the strain generated by the strain element. The strain generated by the pressure of the built system causes a change in the resistance of the bridge circuit and causes a change in the voltage at both ends of the 5V bridge composed of resistive elements.
3): The voltage of the bridge circuit corresponds to the pressure of the steel film, and is connected to the evaluation circuit through a metal wire, which is amplified by the digital ASIC and converted into an output signal. The output signal is transmitted to the control unit via a wire harness, where the pressure is calculated by means of a characteristic curve.

This sensor is generally installed on the top of the oil rail, which is mainly used to detect the pressure in the oil rail and provide a feedback signal to the engine, which is used to control the speed of the oil bench when it touches the pump.

The function of the rail pressure sensor: to measure the real-time pressure of fuel in the common rail with sufficient accuracy and in a short time, and convert the pressure signal into a voltage signal and transmit it to the ECU at the same time, so as to realize the control of fuel injection accuracy and fuel injection timing.

The sensor is a kind of detection device, which can feel the measured information, and can transform the felt information into an electrical signal or other required form of information output according to a certain law, so as to meet the requirements of information transmission, processing, storage, display, recording and control.
The characteristics of the sensor include: miniaturization, digitization, intelligence, multi-function, systematization, and networking. It is the first link to realize automatic detection and automatic control.
The existence and development of sensors allow objects to have senses such as touch, taste, and smell, allowing objects to slowly become alive. It is usually divided into ten categories: thermal elements, photosensitive elements, gas-sensitive elements, force-sensitive elements, magnetic sensitive elements, moisture-sensitive elements, acoustic components, radiation-sensitive elements, color-sensitive elements and taste-sensitive elements according to their basic sensing functions.

Detect engine knocking to suppress the occurrence of knocking phenomena. When the engineer adjusts the knock sensor, the vibration pattern of the knock is written into the electronic control unit. If the knock sensor detects a vibration pattern, the ECU determines the engine knock and then delays the ignition advance angle. >>>More
This is because there is also a camshaft position sensor, and the engine start signal can also be activated. >>>More
How the crankshaft position sensor works:
There are three main types: magnetoelectric induction, Hall effect, and photoelectric. The three types work on the following principles: >>>More
