The steps for 3DMAX around an arc array are as follows:

    1. First of all, open 3dmax, let's take the sphere as an example.

    2. After drawing a sphere, if you want to make a ring array around a certain point, first move the pivot to a certain point. With the ball selected, select Affect Only Axis in the hierarchy and use the Move tool to move the axis to a point.

    3. After selecting the sphere, select the Pattern tool to pop up the Pattern dialog box.

    4. Change the number to 5, because it is the screen coordinate corresponding to the front view, and select around the z-axis, click preview after the z-axis angle increment is changed to 45 degrees.

    5. If you want to change the number to 7, but the total angle value is 360 degrees, there is no need to calculate 360 7 to determine the incremental angle, directly click the "" symbol next to the rotation to adjust to the total column.

    6. Fill in 360 degrees in the total, 7 in the number of 1d, and preview.

<>1 Create an arc, then a teapot, open the Tools --- Align --- Spacer tools.

2 Select the teapot, tap Get Path, and tap the arc.

3 So the teapot was arrayed in an arc.

Draw an arc in MAX and bind the previously made array to the arc path, and the arc array will appear. Hope it helps.

Use the shortcut shift+iThis is convenient.

    Hello landlord.

The pattern tool can be solved, but it can also be done using the axis method.

I'll take a small example for you to see, and I'm trying it out for myself when I understand the way and method.

Of course, I did this on the 0,0 coordinates, and the center of the arc below was also on 0,0, and the coordinates of the small cube passed through the first command under the hierarchy (the small red box on the upper right) to the first command affect piovot only (only affect the axis) point, and then moved the mouse to the position of the following 3 axes x,y,z,change the x,y axis to 0 (of course, after I created this box, I have changed the coordinates of the x-axis to 0), so that the coordinates will automatically default to 0,0, , turn off the Affect Piovot Only command.

ps: I did this in the 0,0 position, so it is more convenient to find the coordinates, if it is not in the 0,0 position, you can use the alignment command (I won't talk about it here).

Then I rotated the box 90 degrees to one side of the arc, and using the duplicate (which can also be easily modified with associative copy) angle 20, I made 10 copies to get the image below.

You can also use the coordinate axis to make it, there are many ways, and you can use it when you master some more.

In Customization, display the toolbar Find the additional toolbar and make a spacing copy in the array drop-down list.

Try it out with the Array tool and you'll find out.

3dmax uses the Array tool to arrange objects in a circle:

In the case of a teapot, move the "pivot point" of the teapot to the center of the circle in the future circular arrangement.

    <>Done].

It's as skilled as using a sketchpad, so you can build a model, you can immediately think of how to do it first, what skills are used in it, such as deleting faces and welding, if it's animation, you can think of how to deal with bones and skins, you can't try there one by one, find one by one, you have to react immediately, and you can even use shortcuts to complete it all. >>>More
