However, these difficult words are not completely irregular, and they often contain roots or affixes.

Root affixes are similar to radicals in Chinese, which are made up of fixed combinations of letters, usually with specific meanings, such as -tion usually indicates the part of speech of a noun; anti- means inverse, the prefix and root determine the meaning of the word, and the suffix changes the part of speech of the word.

Therefore, memorizing words with the consciousness of root affixes can greatly reduce the pressure of memorizing spelling, and all its derivatives can be derived from one word, which can improve the efficiency of memorization.
