After that, he traveled to Xiangyang and Luoyang, and met Cao Sanyushi when he traveled to Wuyue, admired Meng Haoran's talent very much, and wanted to recommend Meng Haoran to the imperial court, but Meng Haoran was already disappointed in being an official, so he made a poem to euphemistically reject him, and then continued to play.
In the twenty-second year of Tang Kaiyuan, Meng Haoran went to Chang'an again to seek a career, but there was still no result, so he went home.
In the twenty-third year of Tang Kaiyuan, Han Chaozong, the assassin of Xiangzhou, recommended him to the imperial court because he admired Meng Haoran's talent, but Meng Haoran thought that there was no result from so many recommendations, and this time may not be an exception, so he didn't even go to Chang'an, so he went to play everywhere again.
