Emperor Liu Xie of the Han Dynasty.
April 2, 181 - April 21, 234), the word Bohe, was a native of Luoyang, Henan. Eastern Han Dynasty.
The last emperor (reigned 189-220), the second son of Emperor Liu Hong of the Han Dynasty, the half-brother of Emperor Liu Wei of the Han Dynasty, and his mother was Queen Wang Rong of Linghuai.
He was raised by the Empress Dowager Dong and behaved dignifiedly, and was called "Dong Hou" at the time. Emperor Shao of the Han Dynasty ascended the throne and was named King of Bohai. After the rebellion of the eunuchs, he was renamed King Chenliu.
On September 28, 189, the first day of the ninth month of the sixth year of Zhongping, he was enthroned as the emperor under the support of Sikong Dong Zhuo. After Dong Zhuo was ambushed, he was held hostage by Dong Zhuo's generals Li Dao and Guo Yan. Under the escort of Yang Feng and Dong Cheng, he escaped from Chang'an and traveled eastward.
In the first year of Jian'an (196), he was attached to Yanzhou Mu Cao Cao.
Moved the capital to Xuchang. Unwilling to become a puppet emperor, he instigated Dong Chenghe to raise troops against Cao after ambushing, but the result was unsuccessful. In the twenty-fifth year of Jian'an (220), after the death of Prime Minister Cao Cao, in October Yimao (November 25, 220), in the reign of Cao Pi, the king of Wei.
Under persecution, he abdicated and surrendered, was demoted to the prince of Shanyang County, retained the etiquette of the Son of Heaven, and married Cao Pi with his second daughter.
In the second year of Qinglong (234), he died at the age of fifty-four, and was buried in the Zen Mausoleum, known as the Emperor of Filial Piety.

Liu Xie later fled Chang'an. In the first year of Jian'an, Cao Cao controlled Liu Xie and moved the capital to Xuchang, coercing the Son of Heaven to defeat the princes. In the twenty-fifth year of Jian'an, Cao Cao died of illness, and Liu Xie was controlled by Cao Pi, and then forced to surrender to Cao Pi.
In the second year of Cao Wei Qinglong, Liu Xie died at the age of 54 and was buried in the Chan Mausoleum, known as the emperor of filial piety.
