The lyrics of the Diocesan boys' school song were written by the English poet Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936).
In June 2010, Mr. Lo Sheung-ching, a senior ** person in Hong Kong, adapted the school song and named it "Diocesan Boys' School Song 2010".
Premiered by the school's 2009-2010 Orchestra, the work was selected as the second background piece in dbs year in pictures 2009-10.

Diocesan Boys' School was established.
Copied in 1869, the old name was called the solitary courtyard of the building.
Diocesan Home and Orphanage), Diocesan School and Orphanage, Diocesan Boys' school and orphanage)。The original school site.
Zhi was located on Bonham Road (now Bonham Road Government Primary School) on Hong Kong Island and later moved to its current location in Argyle Street, Kowloon in 1926. In the early days of the relocation, the school briefly borrowed the site of the present-day Mong Kok Police Station (1927). Because many Hong Kong officials, businessmen, and cultural celebrities have graduated here, and students have achieved extraordinary results in public examinations, and have achieved outstanding results in sports, academics and competitions, it is regarded as one of the traditional famous schools by Hong Kong citizens.
Since its establishment, the school has served as nine principals.
Diocesan Boys' School was founded as a private school in its early days. In 1878, it began to receive ** grants and became the School of Grant-in-Aid scheme. After the reunification, the Direct Subsidy System was introduced in Hong Kong**, and the Board of Trustees of Diocesan Boys' College finally decided to convert to a Direct Subsidy School in 2003 in order to reduce the restrictions imposed on it.

In 1922, Principal Featherstone introduced the house system to hold athletic and drama competitions within the school. All the students were divided into four groups, namely the Green Club, the Deep Blue Club, the Yellow Club, and the Brown Club. As the number of students grew, the Red Society was added in 1947.
During World War II, three former principals died one after another. In 1949, President Gebin named the Green, Blue, Yellow, and Red Societies after Yaser, Birth, Featherstone, and Shuzhan. Because of the great affection of Henry Sykes, the vice-principal of the Basil period, the Brown Society was named after Sykes.
In 1960, President Shi Yuqi founded Gebin Club (Light Blue Club). The Kwok Shen Qi Society (Purple Society) was established in 2002. In 2004,'The Class of '58 alumni raised funds to call for the establishment of the Shi Yuk Ki Society, but it was not adopted.
Until November 2010, the current principal Zhang Zhuoxiang announced at the 65th Alumni Dinner that Shi Yuqi Club (Orange Club) will be officially established in September 2011, with the English name of Zimmern House. Later, at the request of the students, the school changed its English name to George She House.
In addition to the establishment of the shrine, the school has several ways to commemorate the former president. As early as 1917, alumni donated money to set up the Arthur and Bashi Scholarship. Today, there are scholarships under the names of Featherstone, Saikes, Ge Bin, Shi Yuqi, and Guo Shenqi.
In order to commemorate Shi and Guo Er, the alumni have established ** respectively. In addition, on November 13, 1949, the on-campus church was named "Pastor Stretch Memorial Chapel" (rev.).Sargent Memorial Chapel), inaugurated by Governor Ho Ming-wah.
In November 2004, alumni held the "Principal Sze Yuk Ki Memorial Ceremony", which included a prayer meeting, the unveiling of the Sze memorial plaque at the church gate, and the commemorative collection "A Tribute to Canon G."she).

In the mid-19th century, the Anglican Church established the Diocese of Victoria in Hong Kong. Whether it was the "Diocesan Local Girls' Training School" established in 1860 or the Diocesan Study Room in the second school period, it was founded by the Anglican Church, so the English name is "diocesan". The school was founded in 1869 as "Diocesan Home & Orphanage" and changed to "Diocesan School & Orphanage" in 1891.
In 1912, it was renamed "Diocesan Boys".' school & orphanage”。As for removing "orphanage" and calling it "diocesan boys".'school", circa 1930s.
English was the official language of the colony of Hong Kong, and the school's archival records were mainly in English, so the Chinese name was rarely recorded in early documents. In 1878, the government gazette called the school "the solitary courtyard of the word building", and in 1879, the "Yuan Men and Women Pavilion" called it "the men's and women's hall of the word building". Named "曰字楼", the Guy Bonham Road school building is in the shape of "曰".
Such a name is actually a temporary expediency, which also shows that the school did not have a certain Chinese name at the beginning of its establishment. In the late 19th century, Chinese people in Hong Kong used the names of their principals to refer to their names. The president of Bishi reigned for nearly 40 years and had a huge influence, so the people called the school "Bashi Library" and "Bashi Academy".
And the priest is slightly lame, so it is even nicknamed "A Lame Library". However, these names are all ** tamed, and the school is the word "Diocorian", which is more close to the pronunciation of "俾士", and the year of the name change is difficult to determine today. In 1912, with the change of English name, the Chinese name was also changed to "Diocesan Men's Study".
After the 1930s, Fang changed to the current name of "Diocesan Boys' School".
