Who was that German air marshal who commanded the army?

Field Marshal Kesselring, who had previously been an Air Marshal, later succeeded Lundstead as Commander-in-Chief of the Western Front.

After the war, he was sentenced to death, but his sentence was later commuted and he was soon released. He died of illness in 1960.

There were five of them (not counting Goering, Goering counting the Imperial Marshal).

He was tried twice, but both were acquitted.

Richthofen (1895-1945) was born into an aristocratic family. He joined the army in 1913. Awarded the title of Field Marshal of the Air Force.
