HOW DO ABAQUS OPEN ODB FILES?

The specific steps are as follows:

1. First of all, after opening ABAQUS, the deformation diagram is displayed, as shown in the figure below, and then go to the next step.

2. Secondly, use the middle mouse button to scroll to adjust the image to a suitable position as shown in the image below, and then move on to the next step.

3. Next, click on the print icon as shown in the image below, and then proceed to the next step.

4. Then, in the pop-up window, select and enter a specific name according to the image below, as shown in the image below, and then enter the next step.

5. Subsequently, click on Formatting, and a Formatting window will pop up, as shown in the image below, and then enter the next step.

6. Then, click on the usage settings below, the maximum value is 4096, as shown in the image below, and then go to the next step.

7. Finally, complete the operation as shown in the figure below. In this way, the problem is solved.

As long as you see the analyzed job in Visualization, it means that there is already an ODB file, because the ODB file is the result file, and the visualization can only display the result file. By default, abaqus stores the result files in the temp folder or the folder where the cae is located. You go to the temp folder to see if there is an ODB file, if you can't find it, you open the cae file, and then in the file-set workdirectory to see which folder the default result is to.

Then you go to the job manager of the job module to see what the name of the result file is, and then look for the ODB file with the file name in the folder.

1. Open the abaqus post-processing and display the deformation map.

2. Scroll with the middle mouse button to adjust the image to the appropriate position.

3. Click the print button.

4. Select according to the figure below and enter your name.

5. Click Format Settings, and the format setting window will pop up.

6. Click Use Setting Below, the maximum value is 4096.

7. ODB files will be generated in the default directory**.

If you can see the analyzed job, the ODB file is already available. If you go to the working directory you set up when you installed the software, there are a lot of files (including ODB files) all there.
