In the past, Mount Emei was just a boulder with a radius of more than 100 miles, gray and white in color, high and blue sky, and no grass grows. In order to build a beautiful home, a clever and capable stonemason and his wife, a skilled embroiderer, were determined to use their hands to hew the boulder into a green hill. The gods of heaven were touched by their determination and efforts.
With the help of the gods, stonemasons chiseled boulders into rolling hills and deep canyons; The embroidery girl threw the carefully embroidered cloth and colored handkerchief into the sky, and the colored handkerchief floated to the top of the mountain, turning into a colorful halo of incomparably gorgeous; Bupa fluttered on the rocky mountain, turning into green forests, floating clouds, waterfalls and flowing springs, blooming mountain flowers, singing birds, jumping monkeys, and wandering beasts. The green mountains danced, and the green waters sang. Because the eyebrows of this blue elephant embroidered girl are as beautiful, people call this green mountain Emei Mountain.

Legend has it that a long time ago, a wandering monk came to Mount Emei to worship the Buddha. After entering the temple, he only bowed, and did not burn a single pillar of incense, let alone donate merit money. After he went up the mountain, he stayed at each temple for a day or two, and he didn't say a word of thanks when he left.
One day, he walked to Lei Dongping in full dress, and the bowl he used was silver, as if he was a rich monk, but he didn't even burn a pillar of incense in front of the Bodhisattva. A monk in the temple said to him with a proud face: "Master, as far as the old man knows, all the monks who come to worship the Buddha in the mountains must make incense, and some even donate merit money, I wonder what the master has to donate?"
Monk Yunyou said: "I see that in this hall, there is nothing missing, if there is a bunch of flowers, it would be good to offer them in front of the Buddha." "What the master said is very true, but our Emei Mountain is full of forests, especially above the middle of the mountain, the weather is cold, and there are flowers and trees that can't be planted."
Monk. Monk Yunyou said: "This is easy to do, let's go to the forest to pick together."
At this time, it was late spring in March, and the spring was cold, and some canyons were covered with snow. The wandering monk came to the outside of the temple, his mouth kept moving, and after a while, a kind of tree grew in the forest, and the branches were full of flowers, colorful like a piece of clouds, decorating the mountain forest with grace and elegance. The wandering monk was gone, and no one in the temple noticed.
The next day, a monk went to fetch water, and saw that the mountain was full of flowers, so he picked a handful and offered it to the Buddha. Later, the monk learned that the wandering monk was an arhat. Flowers are offered in front of the Buddha, solemn and solemn, and people call it alder flowers.

The natural ecological monkey area of Mount Emei is more distinctive.
The Emeishan Ecological Monkey Area is located near the "First Line of Sky" at the foot of Hongchunping and on the Qingyin Pavilion, and is currently the largest natural wild monkey area in China.
Immerse yourself in watching and amusing monkeys in the natural ecological monkey area.
Plank roads, pavilions and rope bridges are set up in the monkey area to facilitate visitors to watch and tease the monkeys. You can buy some monkey food in advance at the monkey food sales point in the monkey area at the bottom of the mountain.
Sometimes watch out for these mischievous monkeys too.
Most of the monkeys are not as friendly as they think, and will snatch food from visitors or rummage through bags, so don't leave the boardwalk or enter the park with food in your hands.
There are two Emeishan Cableways, one is the Wannian Cableway, from the parking lot of Wannian Temple to Wannian Temple. The other is the Golden Dome Cableway, which runs from the Reception Hall to the Golden Dome. The queue will be a little longer during the peak season. >>>More
