What is the difference between pageEncoding and charset

ISO-8859-1 is a single-byte encoding with a maximum character range of 0-255 and is used in English series.

UTF-8 (i.e. ISO 10646) is compatible with ISO8859-1 encoding and can also be used to represent characters in all languages.
