Once considered "the most beautiful museum in Europe", the Musée d'Orsay is located on the left bank of the Seine River in Paris, France, across the river from the Louvre. It is one of the three major art treasures in Paris today, mainly collecting century impressionist paintings, and Renoir's Garrett Mill Ball, Van Gogh's self-portrait, Monet's blue water lilies and other works are all treasures of the museum. In 1898 the Musée d'Orsay was originally built as a railway station from Paris to the southwestern suburbs of France, but in 1940 it fell into disuse and after being idle for about 47 years, in 1986 the station was converted into the Musée d'Orsay.
In order to achieve a comprehensive exhibition, the museum has a large collection of works of art from different countries, many others from the Louvre. Architecture, sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, cinema and decorative arts are all on display here.
The Musée d'Orsay, along with the Louvre and the Centre Pompidou, is known as one of the three major art museums in Paris. The museum mainly displays Western art works created between 1848 and 1914, gathering the essence of modern French culture and art, filling the gap between ancient art and modern art in the history of French culture and art, and making the Musée d'Orsay a perfect intermediate transition between the Louvre, a temple of ancient art, and the center of Pompidou, a temple of modern art.
The Musée d'Orsay was renovated from the Gare d'Orsay, which had been abandoned for many years, and opened at the end of 1986. The renovated museum is 140 meters long, 40 meters wide and 32 meters high, with a 10,000-square-meter glass ceiling on the roof. The museum has a practical area of more than 10,000 square meters, with a total of 80 exhibition halls or showrooms, and an exhibition area of 10,000 square meters, including a long-term exhibition hall of 10,000 square meters.
The Musée d'Orsay has a vast collection of more than 4,700 works of modern art, covering almost all artistic disciplines such as painting, sculpture, furniture, handicrafts, architecture, photography, etc. Among them, the most prestigious is the fine art collection of the second half of the 19th century.

Located on the left bank of the Seine, the Musée d'Orsay, built by LaRue, is an art gallery built from a disused railway station. Across the Seine. From the Musée d'Orsay, you can see the Louvre and the Musée de l'Orangerie.
On December 9, 1986, at the inauguration of the Musée d'Orsay. Francois Mitterrand gave a special speech: "Embrace the past and enjoy all the good things in a free mind."
This is the embodiment of the Parisian spirit and attitude towards life.
The collection of the Musée d'Orsay is dominated by impressionist paintings, including Monet's water lilies and Renoir's paintings, and its collection is partly donated by the Louvre, the Pompidou Cultural Center, the Musée du Luxembourg, etc., as well as some collectors' donations, in addition to paintings, furniture, sculptures and graphic arts. The Musée d'Orsay now has about 2,300 oil paintings, 1,500 sculptures, 250 pastels, 1,100 handicrafts, 10,000 plates, architectural models, urban development plan sketches, books and graphic designs, and other art works and materials, making it the third largest art museum in France after the Louvre and the Pompidou Cultural and Arts Center.

Musée d'Orsay, a modern art museum in Paris, houses paintings, sculptures, furniture and photographs dating from 1848 to 1914. The museum is located on the left bank of the Seine, diagonally opposite the Palais du Louvre Waiter (directly across the river from the Tuileries Park in front of the Louvre). Originally built in 1900, it was a railway station from Paris to Orleans, the terminus of the Orleans railway.
In 1939 the railway into Paris was cancelled and the station closed. In 1978, it was listed as a protected historic building, and in 1986 it was converted into a museum, where all the relevant collections originally stored in the Louvre, in the Judberg Museum and in the Pompidou Kungée Museum of Modern Art are exhibited here. The original station clock remains in the lobby.

If the Louvre is the art of the gods, then the Musée d'Orsay and the Centre de Bonzandu belong to the "human" and the "inhuman". These three art textbooks in Paris transcend the tunnel of time and present a complete history of Western art. The architecture of the three major art treasures also has its own characteristics.
In addition to the controversial pyramid of the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay, with its five-story vault and elaborate wall clock, was converted from a classicist train station. What is even more surprising is that the vaulted hall actually cost 12,000 tons of steel, which is more than the steel used in the Eiffel Tower. The collection of paintings and sculptures, especially Impressionist works, will make you re-evaluate the distance between art and reality.
You'll need to be prepared to spend plenty of time enjoying these works that continue the history and hold on to the future. Gauguin, Rousseau, Cézanne, Degas, Renoir, Manet, just to name these names is enough to make people happy. Downstairs, Ingres's "The Fountain", Miller's "Shepherdess", "Vespers" and "The Gleaners", as well as many of Courbet's masterpieces, are absolutely wonderful.
Even if you don't know anything about art, Van Gogh's paintings are sure to make you stop. This master, who was impoverished during his lifetime and became famous after his death, almost transformed his life into a burning color. And the persistent Monet, a painting of "Water Lilies" is enough to make people remember his name, such a single thing is rendered full of colors, so that you can't help but sigh and admire.
Because it is not only the base camp of Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Academicism, Naturalism and Symbolism, but also the best place to learn about modern Western culture and art.
