It was a parent-teacher conference, and my mother came back from the parent-teacher meeting and told me what the teacher had said about me, and also said that there were 46 people in our class, and 15 of them were patients with myopia or pseudomyopia. So, I investigated why elementary school students have so much myopia.

2. Investigation plan.

III. Findings.

1) Poor reading habits, reading closer, reading on the stomach, reading in a dark place caused by myopia.

2) Students have a heavy burden and do not get enough sleep time to cause myopia.

3) Myopia caused by excessive use of computers and watching TV.

4) Myopia inherited from parents.

Through these studies on myopia, we have learned about the myopia rate of students today. According to statistics, the myopia rate of primary school students in the country is 40%.

1. Myopia is also known as short-sightedness, because this eye can only see near and not far. When the eye is at rest, the parallel light coming from infinity passes through the refractive system of the eye, and then converges in front of the retina to form a focal point, and forms an unclear image on the retina. Distance visual acuity is markedly reduced, but near vision is normal.

2 There are 39 students in this class, 8 of whom have no congenital genetic myopia and 8 who have acquired myopia, and the proportion of myopic students accounts for 2/3 of the class. Compared with previous years, the myopia rate has a significant increasing trend.

3. Most students do not pay attention to eye hygiene and do not use their eyes scientifically. Writing too close to the book; Long-term use of the eyes without rest, causing visual fatigue; Watching TV for a long time, reading a book in an environment where the light is too strong or too dark, using it continuously for a long time, etc.

Four. Conclusion. 1. Myopia is caused by the curvature of the lens, and the image formed by distant light rays falls in front of the retina. As a result, it is difficult to see things in the distance. If you are nearsighted, you can wear concave lenses to correct it.

2. The formation of myopia is mainly caused by not paying attention to eye hygiene and long-term eye fatigue, such as incorrect reading posture, reading and writing at close range, not paying attention to rest, etc. High myopia may also be related to genetics.

3。For the sake of my classmates' eyesight, I looked up relevant books and found that myopia can be prevented: (1) Reading and writing posture should be correct, and the distance between eyes and books should be kept at one foot apart.

2) Do eye care exercises carefully and check your eyesight regularly. (3) Take a break after reading a book, watching TV or using the computer for one hour, or look into the distance for a while. (4) Insist on eye drops every night.

5) Eat more fruits and vegetables. In addition to the above 5 musts, you should also do the following three don'ts: (1) Do not read or write in dim light and direct sunlight.
