3. Turn on the air pump switch and start the suction filter.

In the process of suction filtration, when there is a crack in the solid layer in the funnel, it should be pressed with something similar to a glass plug to plug the crack. The pressure inside the bottle is stronger than the atmospheric pressure from the difference in the liquid column of the curved glass tube, and the reading from the thermometer can be seen to be higher than 100, which indicates that the boiling point of water increases with the pressure.

2. Remove the alcohol lamp, remove the syringe, so that the gas in the bottle communicates with the atmosphere, then the boiling stops, the liquid level of the two mercury columns in the bent tube is level, and the temperature drops below 100. Then put the syringe injection port ** rubber tube, try your best to rub out the syringe piston, you can see the water boiling again, from the liquid column difference of the curved glass tube, you can see that the air pressure in the bottle is less than the atmospheric pressure at this time, indicating that the boiling point of the water decreases with the decrease of pressure.

Suction cavity disturbance filter bottle is similar to an Erlenmeyer flask with a branch, and can carry out vacuum reaction, can be used as a small amount of gas production generator, can use vacuum pump and other yard instruments to change the pressure inside.

Precautions: 1. When installing, the bevel of the Brinell funnel neck should be far away from and facing the suction nozzle of the suction filter bottle. The speed (controlled by flowing water) should be slow and uniform during the suction filtration, and the filtrate should not exceed the suction nozzle.

2. In the process of suction filtration, if there is a crack in the sediment in the funnel, the round branch should be pressed and eliminated in time with a glass rod to ensure the low pressure of the suction filter bottle and facilitate the suction filtration.
