How to use VNC Viewer to connect to a remote CentOS server

    You can use the remote desktop connection that comes with Windows to connect to a Windows server, but it doesn't work when you connect to a Linux server. Here is how to use VNC Viewer to connect to a remote CentOS server in Windows 7. Note:

    The vnc server must be installed on the server.

    1. Make sure VNC Viewer is installed

    2. Double-click the shortcut on the desktop to run VNC Viewer.

    3. Enter the IP address of the VNC server, you can open multiple VNC services on a server, use numbers to identify, if we want to connect to the first one, we need to enter for example: :1, the encryption method is the default.

    4. After the connection is created, the remote computer identification <> will appear as shown in the figure below

    5. Right-click on the remote computer ID, click connect, the following dialog box will pop up, enter the password <>

    6. Click Connect to open the remote CentOS desktop, as shown in the figure below.
