Campus Environment:
The campus is full of green grass and trees, and buildings from different periods form a complex of buildings with different styles. By the end of 2010, there were 45,000 trees, 200,000 shrubs, 87,000 bamboos, 44,000 perennial flowers, 274,000 color blocks, and 240 ancient trees over 100 years old.
There are 1,210 species of trees on campus, and the green area of the whole school is more than 1.35 million square meters, with a green coverage rate of 54.8%. The campus has complete teaching facilities and convenient living conditions. The newly built Bauhinia Student Apartment covers an area of about 28.6 hectares, with a total construction area of about 370,000 square meters, and is equipped with complete supporting services such as supermarkets, banks, and post offices in the area.
It can meet the daily learning and living needs of the majority of students; The 19 canteens and restaurants on the campus provide high-quality catering services for more than 50,000 teachers, students and employees, among which the "Bauhinia Garden", with a construction area of 130,000 square meters, is the largest student restaurant in domestic universities, which can accommodate more than 3,000 people at the same time.

Tsinghua University's School of Humanities is located in Xinzhai of Tsinghua University in Haidian District, Beijing (as shown in the picture below), next to the West Playground, north of the new library, next to the 10,000-person canteen.
The School of Humanities of Tsinghua University was officially established on October 20, 2012, including the Department of Chinese, the Department of History, the Department of Philosophy, the Department of Foreign Languages, the Institute of Chinese Studies, the Center for Research and Conservation of Unearthed Documents, and other departments and centers. The history of the School of Humanities at Tsinghua University can be traced back to the establishment of the Tsinghua University Research Institute in 1925. In 1928, Tsinghua University established the School of Liberal Arts, and a number of famous scholars such as Wang Guowei, Liang Qichao, Chen Yinke, and Zhao Yuanren, the four major tutors of Chinese studies, gathered in Tsinghua Park.
In 1952, the faculties were adjusted, and the schools of literature and law were transferred out of Tsinghua University. After 1978, Tsinghua University re-established the liberal arts and established the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in 1993. In 2012, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was abolished and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences were established respectively.

At present, the college has 6 departments, 5 institutes and 4 centers (see the list of college institutions for details), as well as more than 10 interdisciplinary research institutions such as the Humanities Academic Research Center, the Center for Contemporary China Studies, the Center for Advanced Studies and the Center for Language Studies Publication tasks for core journals such as Chinese Journal of International Politics (SSCI). From 2000 to 2005, the college undertook a total of 360 scientific research projects, including 70 national scientific research projects and 122 provincial and ministerial projects, and won more than 200 awards. He has published 2,970 articles and translated 589 monographs. The school also actively carries out academic cooperation and exchange activities at home and abroad, and has a wide range of academic exchanges and cooperation projects with North America, Europe, Russia, Japan, South Korea and other countries, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and has organized more than 50 international academic conferences in the past five years.
In order to meet the needs of the society, the college has a training department to carry out continuing education and training for academic and non-academic qualifications.
