What are GRE Vocabulary, GMAT Vocabulary, IELTS Vocabulary?

The vocabulary required for the three different forms of language tests is described below:

GRE is a test score required by various graduate schools (except management schools and law schools) in the United States and Canadian universities, and it is also the most important criterion for professors to award scholarships to applicants.

The Management Admission Test (Graduate Management Admission Test) is an entrance examination for graduate students in management majors at U.S. colleges and universities. The main purpose of the examination is to evaluate the candidates' admission qualifications in management, and to select qualified candidates for the graduate schools of general management, accounting, arts management, behavioral science, economics, finance, health care, international affairs, information engineering, and business administration.

3.IELTS: The International English Proficiency Test (IELTS) is a widely recognised language testing system for further and higher education courses.

This language testing system is used by many institutions in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, North America, and many countries where English is not the first language of instruction, but where English is used in many professional courses.

The GRE vocabulary is a general term. It generally refers to the additional vocabulary that a standard college graduate needs to master in order to pass the new GRE test, and does not include the general vocabulary commonly used in previous education and life. Although the new GRE test may involve technical terms, in general, these technical terms are not considered to fall within the scope of GRE vocabulary.

Unlike the Level 4 and 6 exams, there is no defined scope and quantity of GRE vocabulary; For Chinese students, a vocabulary of more than 10,000 is considered to be the basic conditions for taking the GRE test; However, to hit a high score, you generally need more than 20,000 words to be sure.

GMAT vocabulary refers to the vocabulary that graduate students need to master to administer the GMAT Science Admission Exam. GMAT is an abbreviation for Graduate Management Admission Test. Universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and other countries use GMAT test scores to assess a candidate's suitability for graduate study in business, economics, and management majors to decide whether to admit them.

IELTS vocabulary is a general term. It generally refers to the additional vocabulary that a standard university graduate needs to master in order to pass the IELTS exam, and does not include the general vocabulary commonly used in previous education and daily life. There is no definite range and number of IELTS vocabulary, for Chinese students, a vocabulary of more than 7000 is the basic ability to take the IELTS test; But to get a high score, you also need to have a variety of English skills.

1. The R&D institutions are different, IELTS and BEC are developed by ESOL, and TOEFL and TOEIC are developed by ETS.

2. Different pertinence, IELTS (A) and TOEFL are academic and important indicators for universities in English-speaking countries to recruit international students from non-English-speaking countries (IELTS G level is an immigration test for some Commonwealth countries such as New Zealand and Australia).

3. BEC and TOEIC are business English, and their purpose is to develop and assess practical English skills in the workplace.

4. Different countries, institutions and organizations have different requirements for English tests, some American universities do not recognize IELTS scores, some universities do not recognize (cannot apply for scholarships), and the United Kingdom does not recognize TOEFL and TOEIC scores.

5. The vast majority of universities do not recognise BEC and TOEIC scores to reflect the English proficiency of non-UK students, etc., so testing what should be targeted according to their own purposes and the needs of others.

6. The test fee is different, IELTS is about 1700 yuan, TOEFL is about 154 yuan, BEC beginner is about 374 yuan, BEC intermediate is about 475 yuan, BEC advanced is about 598 yuan, TOEIC is about 600 yuan, different countries may have different preferences, changes and adjustments in different periods.

7. The test format is different, IELTS listening, writing and reading are traditional paper-and-pencil tests, while English speaking is the interviewer's interview, and the current TOEFL listening, speaking, reading and writing are all based on the online test.
