It can be done with software, but it doesn't make much sense to answer this.
One of the best methods I've tried is the cat to the switch, where the two computers are connected to the switch with network cables. Number 123 dialed at the same time, guaranteed to work, I tried. And it doesn't affect the speed.

It's very difficult if you don't have a route.
The method on the first floor seems to depend on the ISP settings.
There seems to be a limit to the method on the 3rd floor.,The host should be on another machine to get on it.,And after getting on, all the data is processed on the host.,If the configuration is poor.,The host can't stand it.。

6. Skip the two interfaces, and then go back to the following interface and select "Change Adapter Settings".
7. Enter the following interface (different computers, it doesn't matter), right-click "Broadband Connection", click "Properties", and select the "Sharing" tab.
8. Enter the following interface, check as shown in the figure, select the network name connected to the current host at the drop-down menu of "Home Network Connection" (in this case, the computer connection name is "Wi-Fi connection", then select this item), click OK, and then click OK when the pop-up box appears, if there is no pop-up box, continue.
9. The broadband connection will be displayed as follows, and the host setting ends here.

I Khan who told you that with a switch you can share the Internet.
-
If a router is necessary, the router plays the role of a dial-up. There is no routing how you dial.
-
The switch does not have a NAT mapping function, and the Internet cannot be shared.
