Major achievements: founder of the modern Olympic movement, historian, educator, dedicated to literary and artistic activities, Coubertin was born on January 1, 1863 in Paris into an aristocratic family, well educated. In 1894, with his active efforts and various fundraising, he convened the Paris International Sports Conference, which promoted the establishment of the International Olympic Committee. At the 1912 Stockholm Olympics, he published his famous poem "Ode to Sports", and wrote "Experiments in Sports Psychology" (1913) and "Pedagogy of Competitive Sports" (1919).
He died in Geneva on 2 September 1937, and his body was buried in Lausanne, the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee, and his heart was buried in Olympic Asia, the birthplace of the Olympic Movement.
Strictly speaking, his major is not sports, because he recognized the importance of sports and the status of sports in education, he set up the ambition of education to save the country and sports to save 2, and was determined to make unremitting efforts for the revival of the Olympic movement and strive for its development for life.
Coubertin faced many difficulties in reviving the Olympic movement, but his determination to develop sports never wavered. He was persevering and tenacious. In 1896, the first Olympic Games were almost aborted due to financial difficulties, and he went to Athens in person to meet with the prime minister and the crown prince.
The second Paris Olympic Games and the World Expo were held at the same time, and there was a contradiction between the two. Coubertin was forced to resign, and was ridiculed and scolded from time to time, but he endured humiliation and never became discouraged. He began the work of reviving the Olympic Games in 1883 at the age of 20 and worked for the Olympic Movement for 54 years until his death on September 2, 1937.
Regardless of his family's unhappiness and difficulties, he personally handled all the details: documents, publicity, design patterns, ......, he ran around to contact all parties, made friends to win support, worked hard, and worked hard. His exploits are immortal.
Coubertin was principled, insisting that the Olympics belonged to the world and should be held in different cities around the world, while the Greeks believed that the Olympics belonged to Greece and that Athens should be the permanent host of the Games. It is Coubertin's insistence on principles that has made the Olympic Games as brilliant as they are today. Coubertin's unswerving adherence to the principles of peace, friendship and progress, the fight against discrimination, the principle of equality, the integration of the Olympic Games with cultural education, the harmonious development of human beings, and the system of reverse representation have been written into the Olympic Charter with remarkable results.

The cauldron is 32 meters long, weighs 45 tons and has a maximum diameter of 12 meters. The main cauldron usually lies on the top of the "Bird's Nest", and it can not be pushed out and turned up until the last moment before the ignition, so that the lower part of the torch tower and the bowl belt above the "Bird's Nest" can be seamlessly connected, which is very difficult.
