Guan Tianpei (1781-1841), known as Zhongyin, No. Zipu, General Feng Zhenwei, Han nationality, was born in Shanyang County, Huai'an Prefecture, Jiangsu Province (now Huai'an District, Huai'an City, Jiangsu), a famous patriotic general and national hero in the late Qing Dynasty. He is the author of "The First Collection of Raising the Sea" and training charts. The descendants of Guan Yu, a famous general of the Three Kingdoms, are many people with lofty ideals and professional soldiers.
He has successively held important positions such as general general, thousand general, garrison, staff general, deputy general, and admiral. During his tenure as the commander of the Guangdong Daqingshui Division, he fully supported the national hero Lin Zexu Humen to ban smoking. General Guan has been through a hundred battles, taking the lead in the soldiers, being born and dying, and sacrificed his life for the country in the bloody battle with the British invading army.
It has made outstanding contributions to consolidating national defense and safeguarding national sovereignty. Guan Zhongjie Ancestral Hall and Guan Zhongjie Gongtianpei Tomb are cultural relics protection units and patriotic education bases in Jiangsu Province.

On the sixth day of the second month of the 21st year of Daoguang (1841), the British army launched a general attack on the Humen fortress, and Guan Tianpei personally commanded it.
In the end, because the reinforcements did not arrive, he was hit by a bullet and died a heroic martyr. The imperial court posthumously regarded it as a loyal festival and crowned Marshal Zhenwei.
