There is a set of processes for the whole process, and the specific methods are as follows:
1. Open XSHELL, File Properties vt mode, and check the first item "Auto Wrap Mode". Note that ticking the first item is the word wrap mode, which is the first step in setting up word wrap. As shown in the figure below:
2. Restart XCir, and then connect the device to automatically wrap. In this way, word wrapping is implemented. As shown in the figure below:
3. If you have saved sessions before, you need to modify the configuration for each session. It is recommended that you also modify the default configuration and enable this feature by default when you establish a session in the future. This makes it easier to set up word wrap. As shown in the figure below:
Initial VT mode (described in the "Terminal > VT mode" in the help file):
1) Auto Wrap Mode (DeCAWM): Enable the auto wrap function;
2) Origin Mode (decom): Activate Origin Mode. The cursor moves based on the location specified by the server;
3) Reverse Video Mode (decscnm): If reverse video mode is enabled, the foreground and background colors of the screen will be reversed.
4) New Line Mode (NLM): Enable New Line Mode, press Enter to display CR and LF. If this option is not selected, only CR will be displayed when you press enter;
5) Insert Mode (IRM): Enable Insert Mode, insert the characters sent by the server at the cursor position without deleting the existing strings;
6) Echo Mode (SRM): Displays the sent string on the screen and sends it to the server.
According to the above process, each link must be paid attention to avoid mistakes.
At this point, the issue has been resolved.

Of course, if you can tolerate CentOS's own black and white fonts, and you can't change the font size settings, you can use the interface of the CentOS terminal to enter commands to complete the learning.
XChat is not a necessity, but it is a better aid in learning Linux. You don't need to press Ctrl Alt frequently to release the mouse, you can link the Windows system with the Linux system, and operate the Linux system under the Windows system.

The default number of display rows in xshell is a bit small, when we use pstack to view the process stack information, because there will be a lot of content, so some of the content will be truncated when displaying, which obviously brings us inconvenience when analyzing the stack information. In this case, you need to expand the number of displayed rows as follows:
Step 1 Open the Xshell Terminal Emulator, select the session, and click the "File" - Properties command (as shown in the figure below) to open the "Session Properties" window.
Figure 1: Execute the property command.
Step 2 In the "Session Properties" window, select "Terminal", the red box in the following figure is "Buffer Size", modify the value in it, its range is between 0 2,147,483,647, and finally click "OK".
Figure 2: Setting the buffer size.
By following the steps above, you can set the maximum number of rows to be displayed in xshell, so you don't have to worry about the display being cut in half.
