What's going on on the first and second floors, people say that they don't hibernate precautions, and they have to teach people to sleep in the east. Let me tell you. You need to prepare a fully submersible thermostatic heating rod (100W--300W).
A container about 30 cm in length (30 cm is exactly the length of the heating rod), a diving thermometer, a piece of sunken wood or stone. If you like the others, you can also make some decorations, put some aquatic plants, decorations and the like.
Precautions for warming feeding:
a.Temperature. The temperature should be controlled at 28 degrees Celsius. At night, it needs to be lowered a little, 25 degrees Celsius. Mimic the natural environment. Otherwise, when the spring is not warmed, the turtle will not be able to withstand the natural temperature difference.
b.Safe. Heating in winter is the most important thing for feeding safety.
There are many turtle friends who die of baby turtles due to winter heating. So be sure to stay safe. It's actually quite simple to stay safe
Just make sure that the water level is always at the same level and cover the heating rod. Don't let the heating rod come out of the water, the consequences are unimaginable.
Since the heated water will evaporate faster in winter, try to raise the water level when changing the water, and it is generally safer to use 8 cm. The height of the heating rod is about 4 cm. Observe the water level every day, and replenish warm water in time when the water level is close to the warming rod.
It is also important to prevent air leakage from the suction cup at the bottom of the warming rod, which can also cause the heating rod to lift up to expose the water. Solution: Press the warming rod with a stone.
This will effectively prevent this from happening.
c.The area of the turtle tank. The bigger, the better. This reduces the number of water changes. Changing the water in winter is more troublesome.
d.Change the water. Directly for tap water?
No way! The temperature of the water in the turtle tank is 28 degrees, and the temperature of the tap water is only 5 degrees. So what to do?
I do this, first measure the water temperature of the turtle tank by hand, then find a basin to add cold water, then heat the water, and measure the temperature by hand, when it feels about the same, measure it with temperature, up and down no more than 5 degrees Celsius. When changing the water, always remember to disconnect the power to the heating rod. Otherwise, it is dangerous if the heating rod is exposed to the water.
e.Feeding. Feed once every three days. Don't overfeed. Either it is troublesome to clean up the bait. If you don't finish eating, be sure to clean up the bait. If it doesn't affect the water quality, the water will have to be changed.
f.Sunbathe. At any time, sun exposure is a must for turtles to grow.
Turtles in winter also need ultraviolet light. Try to place the turtle tank in a room with the sun, and put a small piece of glass on top of the sunken wood or sun-dried stones, so as to maintain the air temperature of the sunbathing terrace and prevent colds.

Turtles do not hibernate in winter, and the keeper needs to keep the turtle in a special incubator and control the temperature above 15 to prevent the turtle from hibernating. Although turtles do not hibernate, they still need to supplement their nutrients to promote their growth and development. It is also necessary to dry the turtle in the sand, if it is watered regularly every day.
In order for the turtle not to hibernate, the keeper first needs to control the temperature above 15 to prevent the turtle from hibernating. Breeders can keep tortoises in special terrarium boxes, which are convenient for constant temperature rearing.
Although tortoises do not hibernate, keepers still give tortoises nutrients. Giving the tortoise plenty of nutrients is not only to survive the winter, but also to promote the growth and development of the tortoise.
When the tortoise is not hibernate in winter, the keeper also needs to dry the tortoise. Keepers need to prepare clean and smooth sand for the turtle, the sand can keep the turtle warm, and the turtle can be moistened by watering it regularly.

Hibernation is a problem that turtle keepers can't avoid, and the precautions for tortoise hibernation are:
1. There must be water during hibernation, and it cannot be dry and hibernating, it will die of dehydration.
2. Don't feed a week before preparing for hibernation, and don't feed when you wake up during hibernation.
3. Sick turtles should be fed for a period of time after being cured, and then hibernate when they are strong.
4. The temperature of hibernation should not be lower than 2 degrees (too low temperature can easily cause permanent damage or even death), and it is best not to be higher than 15 degrees (the temperature is too high for turtles to be in a semi-hibernation state, and it is very physically demanding to wake up all the time).
5. During hibernation, be quiet, less disturbed, do not bask in the sun, and do not need to change the water (the stomach is emptied before hibernation, and there is not much excrement).
6. Try not to mix when you go out of sleep, so as not to be frightened and stressed.
When will the turtle end its hibernation:
Generally speaking, in Guangdong and Guangxi, the hibernation of turtles and turtles can end in mid-March. Wenzhou, where the senior is located, is in southern Zhejiang, and the temperature is moderate at present, and the turtle also woke up from the coconut soil and ended its hibernation ahead of schedule. Of course, it's the temperature that ultimately determines when hibernation ends.
The most important indicator of the temperature index: the minimum temperature.
In February and March, the weather will warm up for a short time, with the highest temperature reaching 25 degrees, which creates the illusion that some turtles can end their hibernation. You must know that although the maximum temperature at this time can reach 25 degrees, the minimum temperature at night may still be only four or five degrees or even zero degrees.
Fortunately, the semi-water turtles that hibernate outdoors are hibernating in the egg laying pond, protected by thick and moist bedding laying soil, covered with straw, so that the temperature is relatively constant and grounded, and the temperature difference between the turtles and turtles hiding in it is also small, and the temperature change outside does not have much impact on the hibernation temperature.

First of all, not all turtles are suitable for hibernation, such as sick turtles, weak turtles, and turtle seedlings with poor physique are not recommended to hibernate. Secondly, there is another link to pay attention to before the turtle hibernates, that is, to cleanse the intestines, and pay attention to reducing the amount of food in time. If the turtle stops eating, it can be stopped feeding first.

1. Humidity. The humidity needs to be kept within a certain range, it cannot be dry, and water needs to be added regularly.
2. Protect from light. Strong light can affect the hibernation of turtles, so care needs to be taken to hibernate in a dark environment.
3. Quiet. Although the tortoise is hibernating, it is still sensitive to vibrations, so the hibernation environment needs to be kept as quiet as possible.
4. Temperature. During hibernation, it is important to keep the temperature constant and not go high or low, which will cause the turtle to be disordered. Also, never put tortoises in an air-conditioned room to hibernate.
5. Shelter from the wind. The main purpose of sheltering from the wind is to reduce the temperature difference. In winter, when the cold wind blows directly, the temperature in the tortoise's hibernation environment will inevitably be greatly affected, and this temperature difference can easily cause the tortoise to get sick.
6. Disinfection. The main purpose is to prevent the turtle from bringing some harmful bacteria into the hibernation medium, causing the turtle to get sick. In general, 5% povidone-iodine solution is used for disinfection.
After diluting 1500 2000 times with 5% povidone-iodine solution, put the turtle in it, and take it out to dry for about 20 minutes.
Put it in the bathroom or bathtub at a relatively high temperature.
Turtle feeding methods and precautions.
It's okay to keep the turtle dry for a few days.
The hibernation period of turtles generally begins in November and lasts until early April of the following year. In different climates, the time for turtles to start hibernation will be different, and the key depends on the temperature. >>>More
The tortoise hibernate and does not die without eating, because its body can store sufficient nutrients, and the large tortoise will not starve to death after 5 months of eating. However, before the tortoise hibernates, they need to be fed protein-rich meat, vegetables and fruits to accumulate fat for the winter. Half a month before hibernation, it needs to be soaked in warm water to expel impurities produced in the body. >>>More
