AHCI is the advanced mode of the hard disk interface SATA, while RAID is the hard disk application mode built on top of the AHCI.
AHCI is an abbreviation as defined by Intel. This mode of operation is common in newer PCs. AHCI is a relatively new technology that boasts many of the native features of the Serialata standard interface, such as NCQ and hot-swappable, which improves the compatibility and performance of the device.
-
AHCI is essentially a PCI-like device that acts as a common interface between the system memory bus and the internal logic of the serial ATA device (i.e., it is common across different operating systems and hardware).
This type of device describes a common system memory structure with control and state areas, command sequence entry tables, and so on; Each entry to the command table contains SATA device programming information, and a pointer to a description table that is used to transfer data between the device and the host.
An IDE is an application that provides a programming development environment, typically including tools such as a user, compiler, debugger, and graphical user interface. It integrates the best writing function, analysis function, compilation function, debugging function and other integrated development software service set. All software or software suites (groups) with this feature can be called an integrated development environment.

The differences between the three modes are as follows:
1. The definitions are different.
IDE mode: IDE is the transmission interface that represents the hard disk, also called the ATA (Advanced Technology Attachmen) interface, and most of the hard disks used by PCs are IDE compatible.
RAID mode: PADI mode is disk array mode, which simply uses multiple hard disks to work at the same time to ensure data security and access speed. It has a total of nine modes, named numerically, RAID 0, RAID 1 to RAID 7, and RAID 0+1.
AHCI mode: AHCI is essentially a PCI-like device that acts as a common interface between the system memory bus and the internal logic of the serial ATA device (i.e., it is common across different operating systems and hardware).
2. The transmission speed is different.
IDE is ATA mode, which is a parallel port transmission mode, with a theoretical maximum of 133MB per second.
Radio can deliver twice as much performance as a single HDD.
AHCI is SATA mode, serial port transmission mode, fast transfer speed, theoretical maximum 300MB per second.
3. The support for NCQ is different (NCQ is a new hard disk technology, in short, it will be faster when jumping from one program to another after turning it on).
The IDE mode is to map the SATA hard disk to the IDE mode, and you do not need to install the SATA hard disk drive when you install the system with the SATA hard disk.
The AHCI mode is the opposite of the SATA mode, which requires the SATA driver to be installed when installing the system, and only this mode can enable the NCQ function.

Go to the BIOS settings of your computer and follow the steps below.
1. Restart the computer and keep clicking the DEL button to enter the BIOS settings.
2. Enter the BIOS settings interface and select [Integrated Peripherals].
3. Select [SATA Mode Selection] under the Integrated Peripherals menu.
4. Select [AHCI Mode], hit the Enter key, and the setting is complete.
Go to the BIOS and change it. In the last of the second column. One is IDE mode and the other is AHCI mode. When entering the BIOS, you generally press F2 when you boot up, and the HP is generally F10Desktops are del.
In layman's terms, IDE is ATA mode, is a parallel port transmission mode, 04 years ago popularized technology, the theoretical maximum is 133MB per second, AHCI is SATA mode, serial port transmission mode, new technology, fast transmission speed, theoretical maximum 300MB per second. >>>More
Method steps.
1. Restart the computer or turn on the computer, then press the corresponding shortcut key to enter the BIOS setting window when the boot screen appears, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select the "Config" option in the BIOS setting window, then select "Serial ATA (SATA)", and press the Enter key to confirm, as shown in the figure below >>>More
Safe mode means that no programs are loaded when the computer is turned on.
1. Directly click the "New Notification" button in the lower right corner of the taskbar to open the "Operation Center" interface, or press the keyboard key combination "Win+A" to quickly open the "Operation Center" interface. >>>More
