These works are based on the theme of modern life and use traditional weaving techniques. Combining traditional crafts with modern lifestyles has been my research direction in recent years.

Zhang Xinmu, born in August 1956, is a native of Gaochun District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. In September 1975, he entered the Department of Foreign Languages of Nanjing University to study French, and in November 1978, Zhang Xinmu went to France to study at the University of Haute-Brittany (Rennes II) for three years in July 1981 and obtained a bachelor's degree in modern French literature. In July 1981, he returned to Nanjing University to teach in the French Department of Foreign Languages.
In 1988, he graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages of Nanjing University with a master's degree in French.
