The University Yanyi Chongtan Supplement is a commentary on the Confucian classics written by Qiu Jun (also known as Qiu Jun) in the Ming Dynasty, which is a work with legal thought and legal system as the main research content, including: the righteousness of the general discussion of the punishment, the system of the law and the order, the instrument of the prison, the meaning of the redemption of the Ming stream, the law of listening to the judgment in detail, the discussion of the original, the order of the time, the discussion of the bending of the Kai, the feeling of redressing grievances, the forgiveness of the calamity, the righteousness of the revenge of the Ming Dynasty, the officials of the prison in a concise manner, the heart of admiration, and the loss of abstaining from indulgence. The book mainly expounds the views of "Heaven seeks justice", "should be economical and righteous", "pay attention to both human and law", and "be cautious and compassionate to prison".

The frontispiece of the book contains a supplement entitled "The Essentials of Sincerity and Righteousness." The text is 160 volumes, divided into 12 chapters: "Zheng Imperial Court", "Zheng Baiguan", "Gubang Ben", "System for the State", "Ming Lile", "Rank Sacrifice", "Chongjiaohua", "Preparation of Regulations", "Shen Criminal Constitution", "Yan Wubei", "Yuyi Di", and "Success". The book is "mainly in the matter", and its contents are rich and rich, and it provides important materials for the study of the economic, political, cultural, educational, judicial, and military development of ancient times, especially in the early and middle Ming Dynasty.

The Supplement to the Meaning of the University was written by Ming Qiu Jun (1420 1495), which is a Confucian work that expounds the scriptures and meanings of the "University" and expounds the "way to govern the country and level the world".

"University Yanyi Supplement" was first published in the early Hongzhi period, and was reprinted in Wanli time, with a preface by Zhu Yijun of Mingshenzong. In the Ming Dynasty, there were also Zhang Pu's publications, Chen Renxi's publications, Qiao Yingjia's Yangzhou editions, and the continuation of the complete books. In the Qing Dynasty, there was a book of "Siku Quanshu".

During the Ming and Qing dynasties, scholars also compiled a variety of abridged editions or important narratives to spread the book. For example, Ming Ling Dizhi's "University Yanyi Supplement Essence" 17 volumes, Hu Shining's "Reading University Yanyi Yu Jian" 2 volumes, Qing Chen Hongmou's "University Yanyi Supplement" 12 volumes, etc.

The University is a Confucian classic, and the Han Dynasty is mixed into the "Book of Rites", which is praised by the people of the Song Dynasty and included in the "Four Books". Song Ru Zhende's show "Touching the Group University Yanyi" gives full play to the virtues of things, enlightenment, sincerity, righteousness, self-cultivation, and the righteousness of the Qi family, but it lacks the part of governing the country and leveling the world. In the Ming Dynasty, Qiu Jun collected the texts of the Six Classics and the history of the hundred schools, and expressed his opinions according to the language, making up for his shortcomings, and making up for the "University Derivation and Supplement".
