The game allows players to create their own world. In this world, life can be created and evolved, tribes can be cultivated, civilizations can be built, and even entire worlds can be shaped. Spore offers a wide variety of creative tools, allowing players to customize almost any aspect of the world to their liking
Creatures, vehicles, buildings, even spaceships, and more.
Will Wright, the designer of the Sims series, has revealed the idea for Spore. Spore will consist of six different phases: Tidepool, Evolution, Clan Formation, City, Civilization, and Invasion.
Tidepool Phase: The game's initial activity is a free-for-all mode, similar to The Pike, the NES classic 4.6 Billion Years Story (and Cubivore on DC, where you grow by killing enemies and eating them according to the laws of nature;
Evolutionary Development Stage: This stage feels similar to Diablo, emphasizing the character's combat and growth;
Clan Formation Stage: When the character's growth and development reaches a satisfactory stage, it will give up individual control and become a new type of RTS interface;
Urban Phase: This phase is much like Will Wright's own SimCity series, emphasizing the construction and layout of the city;
Socio-civilization stage: When your city is built, you can view it by zooming in. Begin to find other civilizations, through war or diplomacy, with the ultimate goal of conquering the entire planet;
Invasion and Expansion Phase: After dominating the entire planet, invade and expand civilizations from other solar systems through the vast universe. The stage of aggression and expansion is very open.
Players can invade civilizations or venture out in space, similar to the Star Trek series.
Each stage makes up a complete evolutionary process: cells, creatures, tribes, civilizations, and space, and each stage has different challenges and goals. The player can choose to start with the cell stage and slowly nurture a species from a tiny aquatic cellular organism to evolve into a sentient species; Or you can build a tribe or civilization on multiple planets and start the game and manipulate your own world as you like.
Will Wright said, "Spore is the opposite of the design of traditional games, which are always within a certain box. Spore, on the other hand, is out of the box.
Once the player conquers the galaxy, they will be the master of everything, and the player can deal with the rest of the galaxy in their own way. "Game adoption tools are much better than simply using some pre-defined interface. What's more important is that the player's imagination makes the game his or her game.
Spore also provides a database of links to the game for the Socks to share everything they create. This novel design provides players with the freedom to create to satisfy everyone's tastes.
