4. Insulting, threatening, intimidating, intentionally harming medical personnel, or illegally restricting the personal freedom of medical personnel.

All patients and medical practitioners who engage in the above behaviors will be punished by public security and even held criminally responsible.

The issue of professional ethics, especially for doctors.

Lack of good communication between doctors and patients. Most healthcare professionals and patients perceive communication between doctors and patients as little or none. To a certain extent, this indicates that there is a lack of basic trust between doctors and patients, and the medical staff does not perform their obligations to inform and care well, which is attributed to the main reason for the decline of trust between the two parties.

Both patients and medical staff believe that the doctor-patient relationship is not harmonious to varying degrees.

1) China's current medical security system and related laws and regulations have not kept up with the pace of the market economy in a timely manner. **The serious lack of investment in hospitals, and the self-financing system of hospitals, have prompted patients to bear excessive diagnosis and treatment costs. At the same time, the problem of the social divide between the rich and the poor and the intensification of contradictions is exacerbated in the process of expensive diagnosis and treatment.

2) Insufficient doctor-patient communication and increased medical disputes are important factors in the disharmony of doctor-patient relationship. The lack of primary medical resources, the lack of level, and the phenomenon of misdiagnosis often occurs, so that patients seek reliable diagnosis and treatment in the tertiary hospitals in large cities. Physicians are overloaded with work that makes them unable to improve communication with patients.

At the same time, the medical education system does not give students intensive training in doctor-patient communication skills, so that doctors lack good communication skills.

3) The lack of humanistic care in the medical process exacerbates the disharmony between doctors and patients. Treating diseases and saving people are one, but some doctors only pay attention to the disease and do not pay attention to the person, and the rights and interests of doctors are not sufficiently protected, sometimes doctors do not even have a place and time to rest, there is no empathy between the two, patients often do not understand the doctor's diagnosis and treatment, and even violent injuries to the doctor occur.

4) The lack of smooth channels for patients to appeal and protect their rights and interests is the direct cause of affecting the doctor-patient relationship. Although China has implemented the new "Regulations on the Handling of Medical Accidents" a few years ago, after the occurrence of medical accidents, the cost of accident identification alone is as high as several thousand yuan, and the cost of protecting the rights and interests of patients is too high.

5) The lack of trust between doctors and patients is an important reason for the conflict between doctors and patients. The lack of detailed news reports has led to a lack of trust and understanding between doctors and patients, and a lack of empathy. Some medical staff do not put themselves in the patient's shoes, but think more about the interests of the medical institution and themselves.
