The 17th National New Concept Essay Contest is scheduled to start on April 1, 2014, co-sponsored by 14 famous universities and budding magazines in China, jointly sponsored by Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Beijing Normal University, East China Normal University, Nanjing University, Nankai University, Wuhan University, Xiamen University, Sun Yat-sen University, Zhejiang University, Chinese University, Shandong University, Shanghai Theater Academy and Budding Magazine.
The "New Concept" aims to promote:
"New thinking" - creative and divergent thinking, breaking the shackles of old concepts and norms, breaking rigidity and conservatism, and being unrestrained.
"New expression" - not limited by subject matter and genre, using one's own language full of personality, opposing clichés, opposing the same face and one word.
"True experience" - real, real, sincere, sincere attention, feeling, and experience of life.
Participants: Group A Fresh senior high school juniors and sophomores (including third-year students).
Group B: Senior 1 and junior high school students (including 3 school students).
Group C Young people under the age of 30 other than secondary school students.
Participation form: Preliminary and semi-final. The preliminary competition follows the form of essays in general literary publications, with no propositions, no limited themes, genres, and less than 5,000 words, which cannot be published in public publications, and plagiarism or inviting people is strictly prohibited.

1.Entries should carry forward the main theme, spread positive energy, and be in line with the theme of the competition.
2.Self-proposed essay questions around the theme of the competition, self-selected genre (except poetry), with a word count of no less than 800 words.
3.Each participant can only submit one entry for the competition.
4.Plagiarism and copying are strictly prohibited, and once it is found that there is an infringement of the copyright of others, the entry will be disqualified.
