1. Graduates of senior secondary education schools who participate in the national Olympiad in the subjects of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and informatics for middle school students at the stage of senior secondary education and win the first prize in the national finals will be given 10 points and won the national award.

The results of the competition shall not be used as extra points for the high school entrance examination.

In addition to grades, the key to determining whether a student is excellent is whether the child's extracurricular life is rich and rich, and how high the gold content is, and the Ministry of Education recognizes the awards, the three camps of colleges and universities, the provincial excellent, the provincial three good, etc. have become the top priority of whether the shortlisted candidates can be admitted.

The following awards will not be awarded for the college entrance examination, but in the school you are applying for, you can be given priority admission as a reference item when filling in the application.

1. Five major competitions.

The competition consists of five subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics. Physics competitions and mathematics competitions are the key competitions, which are highly valued and recognized in the independent entrance examinations of colleges and universities. For example, if you win the first prize at the provincial level in chemistry and informatics competitions, you can be eligible for university admission.

2. China Youth Robot Competition.

This competition is a youth science and technology activity proposed by the Youth Work Department of the China Association for Science and Technology at the end of the last century. Due to the rapid development of information technology and the development of artificial intelligence, the state attaches more and more importance to the development of such competitions and pays attention to cultivating the scientific and technological innovation ability of young people. If you win a prize in this competition, you will be eligible for recognition from East China University of Science and Technology and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

3. New Concept Essay Contest.

The competition is organized by Mengwa Magazine, and the concept of the competition is "New Thinking", "New Expression", and "True Experience", which can stimulate students' creativity. Like Guo Jingming and Han Han, who we know, are the award winners of this competition. Although the gold content of this competition is much smaller than the previous two competitions, Sunzhou is also recognized by many colleges and universities like East China Normal University and Nankai University.

On December 16, the results of the 2022 China Engineering Robot Competition and International Open Competition were announced, and with the strong support of the Academic Affairs Office, the engineering robot competition team composed of teachers and students of the School of Water Engineering won 4 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and 2 third prizes. In the 2022 China Robot Competition and Robocup International Open Competition, which ended on November 20, the engineering robot competition team won 1 first prize and 1 third prize. In the online competition of the RoboMaster College Student Robot Competition, which ended in November, the "Saker" team of our institute won one third prize.

Jointly organized by the Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence and the China Committee of the International Federation of Engineering Robots, the China Engineering Robot Competition is one of the most influential robot science and technology competitions in China. Due to the epidemic, this year's competition adopted the form of online competition, with a total of 22 competitions, and a total of more than 300 schools and 3,000 teams including our university, Tianjin University, Shandong University, and Dalian University of Technology participated in the competition, and the number of participating schools and teams hit a record high. The competition includes more than 50 small items in 22 major items such as robot engineering innovation design, artificial intelligence, robot handling, aerial robots, and underwater robots, covering all directions of robot technology development.

In recent years, the engineering robot competition team of our school has fully combined the characteristics and development needs of the discipline, given full play to its own advantages, selected competition projects with high requirements for students' practical innovation ability, paid attention to the comprehensive application and practice of professional knowledge of the shouting banquet, actively adopted new technologies and new solutions, boldly innovated, and achieved good competition results.

The School of Water Engineering attaches great importance to the discipline competition activities of college students, formulates perfect support methods in combination with the reform of undergraduate practical teaching, and actively explores a series of discipline competition systems with robot competitions as the characteristics and advantages. The college regards discipline competitions as an important aspect of the construction of "new engineering", vigorously plays the leading and promoting role of science and technology competitions in the cultivation of college students' innovation ability, and opens up the talent training path of theoretical knowledge learning, practical hands-on exercise, innovation and scientific research practice, and has achieved good results.
