Hello, there are generally three kinds. The first type of people: formal believers in Buddhism.

This kind of person has never heard the Dharma systematically, but only knows that the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have vast magical powers and boundless power.

Usually, such people will occasionally burn incense and pray for God and Buddha, just for themselves or their family and friends to avoid disasters, wealth and peace, and everything goes smoothly. Of course, such people are kind-hearted and always grateful. The second type of people:

People who sincerely believe in Buddhism. This kind of person hears a little bit of the Dharma, and usually recites sutras, copies sutras, holds Buddha names, makes almsgiving, releases and other meritorious deeds. At the same time, they will meditate, take the five precepts and make sincere offerings to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

This type of person believes in karma, is very careful about his words and deeds, treats people kindly, and is warm and generous. However, one bad thing is that most of these people are middle-aged and elderly, and some people will blindly believe in worship. The third type of person is a practitioner with a deep relationship with the Buddha.

Such people are naturally compassionate, but most of them have a bad fate. I often feel the impermanence of the world, and often think about the value of life, life and death. This kind of person is inseparable from the Dharma, or he always gets in touch with the Dharma by chance, or he is deeply shaken when he listens to the mantra for the first time.
