Olympic Partner Programme, the (top) (Programme des Partenaires Olympiques (TOP).

Founded in 1985 and operating every four years, the Olympic Global Partnership Programme (TOP) is the IOC's highest-level business cooperation program. Companies that join the programme will be awarded the title of "Olympic Global Partner" and will become a partner of the Organizing Committee of the host city and more than 200 national and regional Olympic committees and Olympic delegations. In addition to Lenovo, the sixth (2005-2008) Olympic global partners include The Coca-Cola Company, Yuanxun Company, GE, Hengkang Life Insurance Company, Eastman Kodak Company, McDonald's Corporation, Panasonic Industrial Co., Ltd., Samsung Electronics****, Swatch Group****, and Wharf International.
Enterprises that join the program will be awarded the title of "Olympic Global Partner", and the TOP partner will enjoy the right to develop the Olympic market on a global scale, obtain the right to use Olympic intellectual property rights and marketing on a global scale and a complete set of related rights and interests, and will be the official sponsor of the Olympic Games, the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Organizing Committee, and more than 200 national and regional Olympic committees and Olympic delegations.
After the IOC prioritizes the TOP program, the Organizing Committee will receive market development rights for other product categories. At the same time, TOP partners enjoy exclusive rights to products, technologies and services on a global scale. This category of exclusive rights is guaranteed in countries and regions through agreements between the IOC and the National Olympic Committees and Olympic Organizing Committees.
The sponsorship methods of TOP sponsors include cash sponsorship and VIK sponsorship. VIK refers to the contribution of sponsors to the Olympic Movement in a manner that provides products, services, technology and human resources, in quantity and content to meet the needs of the Olympic Games and the Olympic family.
The nine multinational groups that have become partners of the sixth phase of the TOP program are: The Coca-Cola Company, Eastman Kodak Company, Panasonic Electric Company, Schlumberger Company, Hengkang Financial Services Company, Visa Group, Samsung Electronics, Swatch Group, and General Electric Company. They received the following titles:
Global Olympic Partner", "IOC Partner", "Turin 2006 Partner", "Beijing 2008 Partner", "National Olympic Committee Partner", "Turin 2006 and Beijing 2008 Olympic Team Partner".

On March 26, 2004, Lenovo Group became the first Chinese enterprise to become a global partner of the International Olympic Committee. Lenovo not only joined the 6th Global Partnership Program of the International Olympic Committee, but also served the Beijing Olympic Games.
